That looks like a motherfucking copier.

(6,940 posts)of the docs spread out on the floor, all the ones with a whitw strip around the red or yellow border are copies. On the originals, the red or yellow bleeds to the edge.
CaptainTruth
(6,610 posts)...didn't catch that.
That's why the ruler was laid by the red (Top Secret) cover sheet in the pic. It was to show that the piece of paper was standard size. Therefore, the white border was there because it was a copy, not because the paper was oversize.

(7,389 posts)Right click open image in new tab, then do it again, cntrl + to enlarge and it looks like a small wall.
Eko
erronis
(15,393 posts)Why do you think that might be the case? Magnifying an image can also lead to a lot of artifacts, both in the image and in the viewer's mind.
Eko
(7,389 posts)Once again right click open image in new tab then cntrl + a couple of times and its just a wall.
With the closer view, that is not a copier.

(3,837 posts)Low wall. The angle out looks like its in the background. And looks like a shallow box resting on top.
Just curious as to why there is a hip high partial wall in that space. Strange.

(51,646 posts)I'm pretty visual, too. I was a detailed illustrator and my trained eye agrees. It doesn't make sense to me bit it certainly appears to be a white, brick enclosure. I could be wrong, of course.

(15,050 posts)perhaps related to whatever that pipe is about.
At least that's what it looks like to me, on a tablet screen.

(2,674 posts)And wouldn't the copier have been seized by now to analyze what images it has recently captured?
Or are they saving that smoking-gun-on-Fifth-Avenue for trial?

(67,832 posts)What I do NOT see is a document feeder on a copier. Also I have never seen a floor model copier that short.
. . . . . or a low block wall.
Windy City Charlie
(1,178 posts)It's a short wall from probably at one time was 2 separate rooms. I think the thing sticking out that looks like what might be a feeder on the left hand side. is actually a flap from one of the boxes sitting on the floor. An optical illusion.
That's not to say copies haven't been made. But that's not a copier IMO

(2,665 posts)A green circular sticker meant that a given container filled with packages arrived at our facility on Wednesday. We did not place stickers on individual packages, only on the containers when they arrived off of the delivery trailer.
The diameters of the circular color stickers varied from one USPS facility to another.
bottomofthehill
(8,352 posts)The boxes in the circle are coded with a green sticker. The boxes on the left are not. I dont know the significance of the sticker but it is on each of the boxes in the circle.

(3,734 posts)You can see another pipe going between some of the boxes , and 2 bigger ones on the wall to the right.
dweller
(23,684 posts)Would be a hazard, esp in the middle of the floor
The 2 large pipes on the right are connected to each other at the top
I also see an anomaly in the wall on the right, just past the large pipes
it seems the wall drops back there, by how much is unclear
As far as the 1/2 wall/copier
a 1/2 wall might have a cap block to finish it, but that looks like 2 blocks of different thicknesses
its really unclear
I still think it could be a copier 🤔
✌🏻
I wouldnt even have thought of a wall unless someone else hadnt mentioned it. This reminds me of pictures purportedly of the Loch Ness Monster.
Disaffected
(4,571 posts)Doesn't really appear to be a copier and why would a copier be located in an otherwise empty (without the boxes) basement room? As well, there appears to be a box stored on top of it, whatever it is.
In any case, doesn't actually prove anything even if it was a copier.

(20,017 posts)The top of it looks like the front edge is lifted to place a document on the scanner.

There would be clearer separation lines on the surfaces we can see and that device is rather small for the volume and quality they would need to use. The auto-feeder would be rather obvious as well. What I don't see in the room is any kind of electrical feed for the unit. This is a concrete and cinderblock storage or service closet. There would be surface mounted conduit leading to an outlet on that wall and there is none, unlike the ceiling.

(4,428 posts)Having done a little plumbing over the years, it looks like a vent wall, designed to protect a required vent loop, probably tied to the large pipe running down the wall. It might be related to the swimming pool, which was in the news a couple days ago

(955 posts)Not just any copier/printer, but one of those office ones that can do a lot for at least a medium-size company. It's definitely not a fax machine. I also wonder if there are more than one of them.
