Trump Admits He Conspired to Raise Oil Prices

"SNIP.......

There are obviously more important things on Donald Trump’s mind these days.

But it’s important not to overlook his claim made in Georgia over the weekend that he was responsible for raising oil prices.

Trump said he got onto a “three-way call” with Vladimir Putin and “the king of Saudi Arabia” — perhaps meaning Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — to urge them to cut oil production and drive up oil prices.

Said Trump: “I had to save the oil companies. They were all going to go bust.”

It’s a bizarre thing to brag about during a presidential campaign, but Trump may be preoccupied with more pressing matters.

.......SNIP"

He's lying again.
The only year ExxonMobil shows a negative net income was 2020, because of the pandemic, the response to which he screwed up.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/02/business/oil-prices-trump-russia-saudi-arabia/index.html

US oil prices soared as much as 35% to $27.39 a barrel after Trump said on Twitter that he hopes and expects Saudi Arabia and Russia will slash output by between 10 million and 15 million barrels per day. Crude closed with a surge of 25% to $25.32 a barrel. That exceeds the previous one-day record that was set exactly two weeks ago.

I mean, that's outrageous. $28/barrel.

which he didn't. When oil was trading at $10 a barrel would have been a good time. But he was golfing that week so.........

at the beginning of the pandemic when oil prices went below 0 because there was no place to store oil already on tankers. That would have been ideal. Actually supporting a market in freefall by buying a commodity which no one else could store, and at the best possible price. The Art of The Deal! Instead the US got "the business".

Just read about how he came to power. He is 10 times more dangerous than Saddam Hussein ever was, and would be more so if he gets nukes.

Grab that clip and broadcast it far and wide.

Remember the media breathlessly claiming gas prices would sink Biden's popularity and therefore totally screw the Dems in the 2022 elections?

We should have been using more agriculturally based fuels anyway. It was the greed of the oil companies that put us here. Screw them with a non-lubed pole (since they have their own lube anyway).
