I just wanted to say that my focus and goal has shifted from securing legal punishment for rump to ensuring his defeat in a general election. Both are highly important, but unless rump gets defeated, we may as well count on his presence in the White House until he gets carried out feet-first.

One way or another, rump would metaphorically barricade himself inside the WH if he ever gained entry again. We must ensure that never happens.

Consider the possibilities of his legal problems heading into campaign season. If rump had been indicted, gone to trial, and been acquitted before the election, we’d be treated to the greatest assemblage of ballyhoo, bluster and bullshit in history. It’d be much harder to attack him on issues if time was spent on counteracting what they’d characterized as a ‘witch hunt.’

Better IMO that rump remains off-balance regarding his legal problems between now and the election. It detracts from his ability to campaign effectively and provides plenty for us to talk about in the meantime. It’s all contingent upon defeating the MFer in the general, however. He’s already scheming how he’d even pardon himself if it came down to it. Some of the repuQ KKKlown KKKar KKKandidates have already stated they’d entertain the notion of pardoning him, but that’s another discussion.

My point is that rump must not succeed in getting elected. All federal cases against him would end shortly after taking office. Suffering legal consequences is not my primary concern at this moment, although I would suspend my opposition to capital punishment if he were to receive the sentence handed down to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

Any time spent griping about things you and I can't control or influence takes away from things you CAN influence, namely ELECTIONS. That's the purpose of disinformation: to disempower you by focusing on people, and things you can't possibly control or even influence. And when that happens, they have won.

PLEASE focus your energy on winning.

3. Yes, cheer the indictments and the more the better but don't take the eye off the elections.

Totally agree the more he has to joust at legal windmills the less focus and energy he has to mount a credible campaign. Plus his campaign staff has to not only layout an election platform but defend all the indictments and allegation. So wish the Repugs had a more capable primary slate to challenge him but at least Christy is willing to play his name calling game and throw it back at him. More of that and use of the words LIAR and DEFENDANT from all can help.
