the real goal of these billionaire oligarchs is power. To the extent that they can bend the public dialog to that end, they'll do it.

Oh, they can put two and two together, but their desired outcome is to make it equal to zero for you and me and everything for them and to create a society where "the law protects them but does not bind them; and the law binds you and me but does not protect us."
