A journalist for the British network Sky News was thrown out of the Versailles restaurant and bakery in Miami on Tuesday after asking Donald Trump a question.
International affairs producer Sophie Alexander was booed, grabbed by the arm and told to get out you stupid bitch after asking the former president if he was ready to go to jail.
I was just thrown out of the Versailles bakery in Miami for asking President Trump if he was ready to go to jail. A man screamed stupid bitch in my face while others said I was a traitor, Alexander wrote.
I got out perfectly safely, the producer added in a second post.

(13,003 posts)It wasn't the government we needed to watch out for, it was the Corporations.
Of course currently, it is hard to tell them apart........We are a millimeter away from a Corporate Fascist Tyranny.
Fascism is no more than a merging of Government and Corporations in it's simplest form.....
Southern Republican voters couldn't get beyond page two of 1984.......but could easily read ANIMAL FARM with their limited education.
I have more fun with Trumphumpers and their lack of intelligence or education, For starters I throw out some easy questions on basic middle school civics: Can you tell me how many U.S. House Members there are and how are they determined. Can you tell me how many supreme court justices there are? Can you even name the three branches of our government. (Hell W couldn't even name them)

(21,341 posts)Recall that a few days ago TFG was screeching about the Stalinists and communists going after him. In retrospect he was probably baiting that Cuban diaspora.
Then the first place he went after arraignment was to that restaurant full of Cubans whose parents and grandparents had probably raised them to hate communists.
Capitalizing on hate.

One might even say he is "jury pool tampering" based on population demographics.

(26,369 posts)an area of Miami that is chock full of coffee shops, cigar shops, etc. My other half and I really enjoyed going to the coffee shop for an espresso among other things, and I just enjoyed the atmosphere. You might look in the directories for Miami, they should have something on the area.

(1,862 posts)almost any hole in the wall cuban restaurant has better food than Versailles (which is a tourist trap.) Its were the bus tours stop.

The visits to diners and fast food restaurants every single road trip are not surprises or impromptu. They are prearranged and controlled propaganda intended to look spontaneous. I guess its up to the press whether they buy that these visits are a surprise or not.

(12,751 posts)The first time we were there, we were with a bunch of folks from our Star Trek Cruise. We had about 20 people, so we needed a big place.
The next year, we went to a small hole-in-the-wall place further down Calle Ocho and got a better meal.

(58,785 posts)That was a shit-kicking question in a restaurants packed with RIGHTEOUS, true believers thrilled to be there to comfort and support their leader under attack.
Doubt the question she chose to invest that opportunity in asking will get her an interview with the Washington Post, Daily Mail perhaps.
