The five Democrats on the Ethics Committee have agreed to always vote Present on stuff like this, so as to not prejudice any investigation later conducted by the committee.

BTW, the five Democrats waited until it was clear that the resolution would be tabled before they voted Present.

BREAKING: the House has just rejected a desperate Republican attempt to censure & fine Rep. Adam Schiff $16 MILLION for simply investigating Donald Trump. Every Democrat & 20 other Republicans voted against the resolution. Adam Schiff wont back down to GOP bullies.
There is only one reason why they even brought this vote to a flood: to distract. To distract from their inability to get things done. To distract from the crimes that THEIR leader has committed. This is all a distraction & we shouldnt let them distract us.
What Republicans dont want to tell you is they not only dont have any real policies but that they are actively seeking to destroy our democracy & economy & strip people of basic rights. All while they try to hide from the fact that their leader is in big legal trouble. Period.

(4,741 posts)That the Democrats could regain power, then turn the tables on them by holding them accountable for Benghazi, and, for the older members, Whitewater.
Worse, the Democrats would have more of a leg to stand on doing it.
