https://hartmannreport.com/p/how-much-damage-has-the-trump-putin-dfbThis is a 'must read' people. (my words)
'If Trump shared American secrets with Putin, our intelligence agencies are not going to call a press conference to let us all know...In 2019 The Washington Post revealed that, throughout his presidency, Donald Trump was having secret phone conversations with Russias President Putin (over 20 have been identified so far, including one just days before the 2020 election)...The Washington Post reported last August that Trump had a habit of carrying top-secret information that could severely damage our national security, leaving it in hotel rooms in hostile nations.
In his first months in office, Trump outed an Israeli spy to the Russian Ambassador in what he thought was going to be a secret Oval Office meeting (the Russians released the photo to the press), resulting in MOSAD having to burn (relocate, change identity of) that spy.,,That, in turn, prompted the CIA to worry that a longtime American spy buried deep in the Kremlin was similarly vulnerable to Trump handing him over to Putin...The CIA concluded that the risk Trump had burned or was about to burn our spy inside the Kremlin was so great that at massive loss to US intelligence abilities that...they pulled our spy out of Russia in the first year of Trumps presidency, 2017.
in Helsinki on July 16, 2018, Trump and Putin talked in private for several hours and Trump ordered his translators notes destroyed...Three weeks after Trumps July 16, 2018 meeting with Putin in Helsinki, Senator Rand Paul made a solo trip to Moscow to personally hand-deliver a document or package of documents from Trump to Putin. Its contents are still unknown, although Paul told the press it was a personal letter of some sort.
From campaigning to destroy NATO to opposing aid to Ukraine to demolishing the free worlds confidence in Americas ability to keep top secret information confidential, Trumps goal appears to be,... to Make America Russia.

(30,261 posts)Look at him in that last photo, all puffed up on himself, thinking he's running with the big dogs, all the while Lavrov & Kislyak are laughing at his stupidity & ignorance.
A friend of mine scoffed when he announced he was running. Then she scoffed when he won the nomination. When he won, she said, "It's just four years." I think a lot of poeple thought that. I remember going to bed in tears & spending the day after in tears & feeling in shock for days. Weeks, even.

(6,536 posts)no matter how classified or sensitive. I'd guess he expedited delivery of the really sensitive, national security items--like, "Oh wow boss, I've got something really good for you this morning, I wanted to call right away..." and it's an assessment of vulnerabilities around U.S. nuclear weapons programs or something

(6,269 posts)get the total damage done by the grifting traitor running the Republikkkan Party. Let's get real here: the Republican Party wants their man to be a dictator for life. And every other Republican POTUS till the time ends. They hopefully have made serious mistakes by them letting Trump continue to lead them off cliffs like lemmings.

(6,269 posts)I remember that Helsinki meeting where when they came out of that meeting trump with a hangdog look like he had just gotten paddled by the principal. And Putin looked like he was the cat that captured and ate the mouse. Seemingly now in retrospect, trumps continuing traitorous actions can be understood.
There are photos of him walking out of the meeting.

(3,995 posts)with no need to just excerpt or even to hotlink to the original story. I've been a member at DU here almost since the beginning and have never objected to posts or argued copyright when folks reprint my stuff. My only goal is to get the information out...
This article, in particular, involved a lot of research and has pretty outrageous details, like when Trump appears to have burned American spies around the world, leading to multiple executions of American agents, handing them to Putin via Rand Paul. Feel free to cut and paste the entire piece...

(8,295 posts)Two weeks before Helsinki meeting. What did they bring before, as Rand brought after?
For me, one of the very worst moments of Dumpy's presidency* was that meeting in Helsinki.
The press conference was dreadful, but learning that the translator's notes were destroyed, poison.
Thank you for this article, Thom Hartmann!
