Women need more education and true equal rights, IMO.

Fuck all this fascist anti-abortion bullshit.

…have substantially different usage levels and more likely that the usage level of the world’s poor is substantially lower because they can’t afford energy. I assume the point of the report isn’t to suggest that energy should be cheaper?

The richest 10% of the global
population accounted for 52% of the carbon emissions added to the atmosphere
between 1990 and 2015 – depleting by around a third the total amount of carbon that can
be added if global heating is to be kept within the 1.5C° goal of the Paris Agreement. The
richest 1% were responsible for 15% of emissions during this time – more than twice as

10% of the global population is 800 million people. Even someone classified as below the poverty line in the US would rank in the top 25% globally for wealth.

If you drive a car and can afford to eat beef several times a week, you're likely in the 10%.

I suspect most people didn’t dig into the data and didn’t see “in the world” Before leaping to a standard “bad rich Americans” rant.

To make it to the wealthiest 10% in the world, you need to have an individual net wealth of US$138,346
