twitter feeds r full of ads all the sudden. i think they're fake.

or at least, not being booked/paid for by the tweeters.
every 3-4 posts is now ‘promoted’. they are for truly weird things. the 89 yo granny’s bra. teenie nonprofits. i got curious, and started checking them out.
about half are the pinned tweets. if not, they’re a recent post from someone w a check, blue or yellow, but no pinned tweet. saw 1 w about 100 followers, and nothing to sell. these arent actual paid ads. i’d place a decent wager on this.

i think eloon is just flooding the place w ‘ads’ to make it look like he isnt circling the drain.
i’m blocking them all, as are others. if u go there, block, block, block.

i’m sure the story will come out at some point.

Those Chinese junk ads on Twitter get great replies sometimes.

You really get down to the bottom of the barrel if, like me, you spent a lot of time blocking Twitter accounts with promoted tweets shortly after that moron took over.

it amuses me the way u block 1, and u get a dozen more of the same sort. what kind of algorithm is that?

2. I have about had it with Twitter

Yeah, the ads for me are about every third post on Twitter. Before a few days ago, I saw very few.

Trying to get into the Post.news pattern but it is hard to break an old habit.

3. And the block feature isn't really blocking the ads.

I’ve noticed that ads that I’ve blocked will show up again a few days later.

I’m actually surprised that Eloon ever allowed users to block the ads. He’s such a dick that I fully expect him to eventually get rid of the block feature for advertisements. He’s recently said that he might get rid of the block feature altogether. If that happens, I’m out.

The only reason Twitter is tolerable for me is that I’ve blocked literally thousands of MAGAts.
