Retired Major League Baseball pitcher-turned-right-wing commentator Curt Schilling told Fox News host Jesse Watters on Friday that "somebody is going to have to pull a trigger" in retaliation to the criminal charges that were filed against former President Donald Trump by United States Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith.
"The problem is Jesse, you know, if you look at, you know, I love coming on this show. I love talking to you. I love what you've done, what you're doing with your voice, but the fact of the matter is, you know, I'm tired of listening to Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz and Dan Crenshaw and these people talk. Talk. Talk that's all they're doing. They're talking," Schilling crowed on Jesse Watters Primetime.
"We're up against a side and a force that doesn't play by the rules, refuses to play by the rules, just look no further than the unconstitutional thing going with former President Trump and we're not doing anything about it. We're talking about it, and we get excited and we get emotional. That's it," Schilling carped. "They break the law and they do the things they need to do to ensure their agenda is driven forward and we're watching them gut our nation from the inside out. And I don't know where the rubber is going to meet the road because it's a true sacrifice. mean, you look at the guys, the young men that signed the Constitution and all the things that they sacrificed everything to come out from under a tyrannical government, and then eventually at some point, there was a man at Concord who decided he was going to pull the trigger. And I feel like we're getting back to a point where somebody is going to have to pull a trigger because everything we hold dear, everything this country was founded on is being just dragged through the mud and mocked and made fun of. This country was founded on Godly principles. No matter how offensive that is to the left, it's true."

What fucking rules are you talking about Shilling/ Watters......your "guy" is getting off pretty easy right now, you two keep forgetting that he really was the leader of an insurrection and people died during after Jan 6, 2020, and he also if you two pin heads think about had Russian spies in the Oval Office having a fucking laugh and he gave up a US asset that there was treason, or did that fucking slipping your mind.....
.
If it was me I would have his treasonous ass in jail.....eating peanut butter sandwiches and remove the secret service detail, show the mug shot with his fucking inmate federal number being held with his small hands right under his worthless treasonous chin and then to have it taken, the mug shot picture four or five days after he has been in jail, so that his comb over looks like the character Buford "Biff" Tannen from Back to the Future after a truck load of horse shit got dumped on him, take away his passport, confiscate that fucking plane that he flies around in, and use that for his bond money, put a new lock and key on the property in Florida and put yellow tape around it with the words "crime scene" no admittance for starters and then head to Bedminster and do the same fucking thing there .....and then head to the fucking New York tower and do the same thing there and use that for bond money......

recycling another post:
This is from the epilogue of "Stamped From the Beginning", by Ibram X Kendi.
Emphasis mine:
Protesting against racist power and succeeding can never be mistaken for seizing power. Any effective solution to eradicating American racism must involve Americans committed to antiracist policies seizing and maintaining power over institutions, neighborhoods, counties, states, nationsthe world. It makes no sense to sit back and put the future in the hands of people committed to racist policies, or people who regularly sail with the wind of self-interest, toward racism today, toward antiracism tomorrow. An antiracist America can only be guaranteed if principled antiracists are in power, and then antiracist policies become the law of the land, and then antiracist ideas become the common sense of the people, and then the antiracist common sense of the people holds those antiracist leaders and policies accountable.
And that day is sure to come. No power lasts forever. There will come a time when Americans will realize that the only thing wrong with Black people is that they think something is wrong with Black people. There will come a time when racist ideas will no longer obstruct us from seeing the complete and utter abnormality of racial disparities. There will come a time when we will love humanity, when we will gain the courage to fight for an equitable society for our beloved humanity, knowing , intelligently, that when we fight for humanity, we are fighting for ourselves. There will come a time. Maybe, just maybe, that time is now.
Don't let the bastards distract you! That is their number 1 strategy.

I will say as a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan that even though that 93 team went to the World Series, I hated that Crass, stupid, redneck attitude that they had. (114,615 posts)of pulling one if it even existed. I suppose he thinks the USSC can stop it, but even they can't stop investigations. Or maybe he just envisions all the gunloons arising and pulling a lot of triggers and killing off the majority of people who live in this country, not realizing some of those gunloons are on the other side and would shoot back.
Schilling has always been worthless, now he's a vicious wackadoo with a big megaphone.

(43,307 posts)Post Dominion suit, FOX and their MAGA 'celebrities," use the ongoing strategy of "attack then retract" -- attack, then retract; then fire producers for doing just that -- just so that management doesn't face a defamation suit again. It's the grooming of a public totalitarian culture.
Behind today's totalitarian insurgency is the oligarch messaging of the Nixon claim: when the president does it, it's not illegal.
The unified executive claim -- not "theory" -- is that a president can force all cabinet officials to do his bidding, including who the DOJ and FBI should "investigate" and indict.
Behind that today is the totalitarian retribution lingo behind "rule of men," not Rule of Law.
We know to Never ever fall for right wing lingo. There are no "theories" or "doctrines," as Sheldon Whitehouse has made clear. There are only academicized think tank messages from oligarchs, and the FOX bag man syndicate is their mouthpiece.
It's how they abuse the First Amendment, then taunt anyone to prove malice when they do.

Martin Eden
(15,629 posts)Same goes for Constitutional rule of law and the highest ideals upon which our nation was founded.
George Washington set a vital precedent by rebuffing any suggestion he be made king and by conducting the first peaceful transfer of power.
Donald Trump is the first president in our nation's history to resist the peaceful transfer of power by conspiring to overturn the election and by fomenting a violent assault on our nation's capitol.
He seeks to place himself above the law and above our Constitution. His willful retention of highly classified national security documents belonging to our government and obstruction of attempts to retrieve them are further examples of his utter disregard for laws which protect our nation.
Others have been convicted and imprisoned for less egregious violations of the Espionage Act, a necessary means to keep highly sensitive intel out of the hands of foreign adversaries.
Those who support the former president in his attempt to prevent the peaceful transfer of power and the return of national security documents are at best misguided fools. Regardless of what they believe, they pose a very real threat to the Constitutional republic founded by true patriots.
