What exactly did traitor do for the country? He didn't do anything for the people I know, but still, many of them rave about what he did for the country.
I know what he did to the country, but I just don't know what he did for the country. Except sell it out to the highest bidder.

(44,807 posts)The magas talk about the economy under Trump, like the final year didnt happen at all. The pandemic is no excuse, Biden had to deal with the same pandemic when he came in the office. And I remember the 50s and I dont wanna go back there

(39,086 posts)I think 11 charts on the Trump economy that looked pretty good. But it was on the first 2 1/2 years like the last 1 1/2 never even happened.

(38,729 posts)Autopilot. Interest rates were basically nothing. All he had to do was nothing and he excelled at that.
He delivered a majority troglodyte SCOTUS, and packed the courts with Federalist Goons. He had basically nothing to do with any of that, either.

HE turned selection of judges completely over to the Federalist Society - who gave him a list to choose from. And he orchestrated the resignation of Justice Kennedy - a very suspicious resignation, indeed. It was a dirty deal, to be sure.
So yea Shitler had a LOT to do with packing the courts - in tandem with The Federalist Society.

(38,729 posts)but OK. "turning it over to the Federalist Society" is making 1 decision. If he gave it more than 10 seconds of thought I'd be shocked.

(22,591 posts)McConnell can't stand Trump, but I believe he played Trump like a violin to get the conservative judges he wanted appointed. I've always thought Mitch was in control of that whole process. Trump probably never even bothered to read the recommendations the Federalist Society sent over. We know how lazy he is, and that he's either functionally illiterate or just hates to read.
Sure, Trump signed off on everything, but that's about all he did.
