Biden is the only one I want for president in 2024.

There isn't anyone else I want for president in 2024. Just Joe Biden.

Why? Because he's the only electable one who knows what we're up against and can handle it.

I never thought I'd think this. I haven't been a particular fan of Biden's until recently. I liked him as Obama's vice president, but I never thought of him as president material.

Well. I think he's done an incredible job. Considering what we're up against, and what he inherited, and the low down dastardly behavior of the Republicans, I'm impressed.

I want Joe in 2024.

I was for Kamala, but I was perfectly happy for Biden to get the nomination. I thought he'd have the best chance to beat TFG.

However, since he took office, he's absolutely astonished me with his policies. I always thought of him as middle of the road. I have a feeling we can credit them in part to Jared Bernstein, but Biden chose him.

And what he's accomplished! I was confined to my home because, at my age and weight, I didn't dare catch COVID. Biden found no plan in place whatsoever to dispense the vaccines. Approximately 4 weeks after the inauguration, I got my first shot of Pfizer at a site run by FEMA and the national guard. It was a model of efficiency and good feelings. Consider that, if nothing else.

in my blue area from magats. But if they can drive their pickups with their giant trump flags on the back obscuring visibility, I'm going to do this.

None of them have bothered me over my current bumper sticker, which means it isn't effective. It's a snake coiled in the shape of a uterus on a background that is the same yellow as the Gadson flag, and it says "Don't tread on me." I seriously think they can't figure out what it means because they have no idea what a uterus looks like.

to roped off areas away from him and threatened people who spoke out against his wars, I had a bumper sticker that said, "Without dissent, it's not America."

In a grocery store parking lot, a woman rammed the fender with her cart when she saw the sticker.

A couple weeks later, a guy rammed my car on the driver's side with his truck while I was in it. It was an old car that I had held onto because it was paid for and still ran well - until that day. He totalled it. Hit the car so hard that I got a concussion from my head hitting the roof and I was wearing a seat belt!

But it cost him in the end. Five guys were standing in front of a nearby convenience store chatting and they all came forward to the cops as witnesses on my behalf. An ambulance took me to the ER when I could not tell them my address. His insurance company paid for a loaner car and gave me full book price on my car that I used as a down payment on a newer replacement.

We've got some hard line RWers here.

I know people in other places don't have that luxury, so I make sure I do.

And you are kind to call the people who did those things to you "hard line RWers." They are criminals and assaulters.

that it was not an "accident." The witnesses told the cops that it appeared to be deliberate, but that was not enough to charge him for it. They did cite him for speeding and reckless driving.

The same truck had come close to side swiping me a few days earlier, but I saw it coming and swerved. So it was deliberate, not an accident. My bumper sticker made me a target.

I started this thread to combat the "many people say" framing that we see too often with both Biden and Harris.

She's been a fine vice president. She hasn't done a single thing wrong. She's smart and thoughtful. She represents the Biden administration well. And yet, for some reason, that's not good enough for some people.

When Biden got the nomination, I felt that Harris or Doug Jones would make a great Attorney General, but I didn't want either to be VP. It's about likability, and I don't like the way she treated Biden and others in the Presidential debates. Mean at times, and laughs at them, belittling many who debated her. Her poor showing in 2020 is another reason. I don't believe that she can win.

Joe inherited a disaster. We’re recovering nicely. Inflation is dropping, unemployment is at lows, the economy is picking up, it’s all good. The fact we also have a debt ceiling increase, infrastructure progress and much of Joe’s agenda intact, he’s done it. He’s saved America for now.

Now get more common sense judges installed and publicize Social Security and the plan to save it. Compare it to the RepubQcan slash and burn plan. The 30% MagaT base will never support it. But I believe there are some moderate common sense Republicans (like I used to be) who will. I’m convinced they are the same ones who voted AGAINST Trump in 2020.

Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Johnson were visionaries. But right now, a managerial president is what's needed.

As has been said, Biden gets things done. And what's important is that his major accomplishments have been bipartisan.

What Biden needs to do now is improve his self promotion. He needs to toot his own horn, if you will.
