They used an Irish woman 'straw buyer' to adopt the children they wanted, take them to another country in another hemisphere where she let the Roberts adopt them from her. Back in the day when Ireland did not allow foreigners adopt Irish children.

Really wish there would be some investigation and action on THAT crime. It seems to have been what set the mood for the whole Roberts court: 'Laws don't apply to us!'

I like their partnership model with local news outlets. This supports the overall reporting as well as giving recognition to the people on the ground.

I send a few bucks when I can.

attack through the WSJ before ProPublica even published. For a Supreme Court justice, it was strikingly tRumpian in its attempt to provide an ethical defense for something that has no defense.

I saw a WSJ headline spinning attention on the court's ethics as an attack on judicial independence. Well, to a degree it is...!

Pathetic all right.

I say. They do some ACTUAL journalism, with research, which is getting rare.

I did note, however that they may have fallen for an astroturfing campaign about how offshore turbines hurt fisherman. I read (somewhere) that that campaign was fossil astroturf.
