Former President Donald Trump on Thursday issued an angry demand for Republican allies to launch investigations into the multiple criminal probes he faces.

In a furious Truth Social post, the former president also insinuated without any evidence that the FBI planted top-secret government documents in boxes he stashed at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

"Congress will hopefully now look at the ever continuing Witch Hunts and ELECTION INTERFERENCE against me on perfectly legal Boxes, where I have no doubt that information is being secretly 'planted' by the scoundrels in charge, the Perfect Phone Calls (Atlanta), the illegal DOJ/Pomerantz/Manhattan D.A. Hoax, where virtually EVERYONE agrees THERE IS NO CASE, and the NYSAG SCAM, where I have proven beyond a doubt that there is no case, but have a hostile Judge who should not be on this case!" and this latest rant sounds remarkably similar to Hitler's rants as the Allies were closing in on him and Hitler's military leaders were conceding among themselves that the war was lost.

But I agree that this rant from Trump is calculated to affect public opinion, taint the jury pool, and possibly boost support for another coup attempt.

Have you heard Ruth Ben Ghiat's comments on the likelihood that another attempt is being planned? She believes that some underground planning is probably going on. She's an expert on authoritarian takeovers so, although she could be wrong, I pay attention to what she says.

Trump has been ordered not to talk about the discovery information turned over to him and his lawyers or to make any part of them public. He has NOT been ordered gagged about talking about the case in general.

All the statements Trump makes are admissable at trial as admissions against interest. So even if Trump doesn't testify (if he did his lawyers would jump off bridges) Smith can get in evidence all Trump's stupidest statements maybe even better than he could do it on cross examination.

He simply cannot provide information about what was inside the boxes. He can't say, "This document from April 10, 2019 from the Pentagon about Iran, I declassified it".

Smith was very clear with the judge that he did not want any restrictions on Trump. The judge unilaterally decided that the contents of the boxes were verboten. Likely thought that Trump was very likely to disclose internal secrets of the United States and wondered why Smith wouldn't want that restricted.

Smith very likely knows that Trump can't keep his stupid mouth shut and will end up making Smith's case stronger every time he says something.

Trump thinks that because his lawyers will most definitely, not let him testify, that he has to put out "his side of the story" before trial. What he is doing is giving testimony that can be presented as evidence against himself with contradictory statements, and information that can be presented as cross examination of claims.

Did you see the interview with Fox, where he is first saying how he is going to implement a policy to give the death penalty to drug dealers, then he brags about pardoning or commuting the sentence of Alice Johnson, a woman serving 50 years for her part in a multimillion dollar cocaine and cannabis ring?
