Why They Fear Adam Schiff

Liberal Librarian:

By the time Mr. Schiff was done with Special Counsel John Durham, he had him admitting that the whole basis of his sham investigation was, well, a sham.

Mr. Schiff was the most lethal Democrat bringing forth Donald Trump's first impeachment. He fileted his "defense", such as it was. This exchange between Messrs. Schiff and Durham show him severing Mr. Durham's head from his neck without him ever noticing it.

Two senators per state is bad because of
1) humans in Iowa amd North Dakota and Wyoming have wayyyy more representation in the senate than humans in California or New York
2) humans in California and New York hardly count at all toward presidential elections
And, just added:
3) a plethora of awesome candidates are vying for the same career milestone in California while a below-room temperature IQ can get a guy elected in many of the low-population states.

Katie Porter OR Adam Schiff??I'm glad I don’t have to choose because I don’t live there. They both belong in the Senate. (No offense to the 3rd one, haven’t followed it closely and don’t know him/her.)

but each has responsibilities the other does not.

One thing that makes us - certainly me, and I believeothers -more jittery about the Senate is that they have the power, which thr House does not, to confirm Presidential appointees ... to the Cabinet or the Judiciary - and therefore also the power NOT to confirm (which is holding one appointee up unfairly right now.)

if a state gains population, more districts will be allotted; if state loses population then the number of districts will be reduced.

Unfortunately, too many states are redrawn in ways which cause large segments of the population to be under-represented.

State representation is much different now than it was in the 1800s. Having a North Dakota AND South Dakota is justifiable not by logic alone but by history.

Instead, if your state doesn’t have enough people to equal at least 30% of California’s, for example, then you must combine with others to achieve a size sufficient to warrrant 2 senators.

It will never happen, of course.
We will just keep the status quo that lets the tail wag the dog.

Newsom appointed him and then we elected him last year. Then Katie Porter won the CA47 - our new district..

From a campaign event I attended last November KP surrounded by volunteers...

Up close to Jon Lovett and Jon Favreau

Don't mean to give Barbara Lee short shrift. But she's in NoCal. And she's older than me, so.... (Porter is 49 and Schiff 63) AND TODAY IS HIS BIRTHDAY!!!

Very, very frustrating to know Adam Schiff will be lost to the House along with our rep. Katie Porter. I expect Schiff to win because of this action and Katie's future is open to much speculation. Governor Porter?

and we would be by far the better for all three of them in the Senate. And they are not all that California has to offer. Ted Lieu, for instance.

At this point I am just hoping that we get to keep two of them in the House. And I'm not even sure I care which two. They're all awesome representatives.

I have rarely been so moved as when Adam Schiff and Jamie Raskin spoke during the impeachment hearings. They spoke from the heart as true patriots who refuse to be intimidated by the cowardly right. Schiff would be an outstanding President (as would Raskin), but I’m sure that he would be perceived as ‘too intellectual’ by most voters.
