McCarthy republicans thought the Durham report was going to launch their impeachment of Pres. Biden

...they thought they'd couple that with the FBI probe of Hunter Biden and launch a full-blown redemption campaign for their party and their Criminal Defendant leader.

All of that as a dud when Trump's weaponized Special Counsel failed to find any fodder and Hunter copped to a handful of misdemeanors, the gun possession charge supposed to a violation of his god-given rights according to republican gospel.

Instead of folding and moving on, McCarthy and his insurrection-supporting cabal decided to just go ahead with everything planned, like the hapless and self-incriminating hearing they held yesterday, and the impeachment resolution today.

None of it had any real meat to it so they thought, why not? It's all just noise designed to divert and distract from their party's lunatic leader's perp walks, none of it attached to anything but their bizzaro-world narratives that amount to little but babbling, 'I know you are, but what am I?" to each and every withering revelation.

They're digging around in the dirt like toddlers trying to make their own copy of the insurrection their daddy conspired and constructed - their own treason built out of nothing but tonka toys and snot.

Hilarious watching the deer-in-the-headlights look on Durham, probably wondering to himself why republicans thought it was a good idea to rush him out into the middle of opposition fire wearing the flimsy, transparent suit of armor House republicans spent years sewing together for him to model before the nation.

Now we're supposed to take their shell game without pea seriously? Where's the crime Biden is supposed to have committed? Now that they've lost even some tangential thread from Durham to continue their farce, where will they find anyone with any independent authority to say the president is guilty of anything?

They keep hinting darkly at multimillion-dollar deals Biden and his son supposedly have been doing with counterpart criminals in Ukraine, China, and other countries all over the world. Supposedly Biden has a huge mansion and billions stashed away in various hiding places. AND they think that leaders and peoples of all the other countries feel contemptuous of Biden and his family. Oh, and they think that he first got together with his wife when she was his teenaged babysitter! And they think he is a pedophile! And they are convinced he is concocting a diabolical plot with China! And also they are sure he is senile and wears diapers! Etc. Etc.

13. Actually it was the Hunter Biden investigation that fizzled out with nothing nefarious found

IRS and then DOJ investigated Hunter's income during 2017 and 2018 to make sure he filed his taxes correctly and reported all of his income and deductions correctly because some of the consultant and Burisma board income came from foreign sources.

DOJ also investigated where he got the money in 2000 to pay his overdue tax bills. His income was related to payments to his uncle and his ex-wife that were investigated and apparently everything checked out to be above board with no charges except his failure to pay the taxes on time in those 2 years and no fraudulent filings.

Certainly DOJ had access to all of his laptop communications that were available to the public and they were also paying attention to the claims by the Republican House members in their probe that turned out to be baseless false allegations against the Bidens related to Giuliani and Russian propagandists that had already been debunked.
