By that time Trump will have no more good or even mediocre lawyer options, and he'll likely be represented by the real life equivalent of Lionel Hutz.


If a second Federal judge becomes involved, Cannon will no longer be able to tilt the scales of justice enough to keep him out of prison.

The pressure to take a plea deal for lesser charges will be overwhelming.
Time will tell, it always does.

He's been two steps ahead of everyone so far. And there was in fact a GJ meeting in DC that everyone was expecting to charge in the document case. I think it's very possible, that a DC charge for thedocuments comes, and then a totally different DC indictment comes for January 6th. And possible a New Jersey indictment too.

Then what would happen is the lawyers would attempt to compine all the document charges into one court case, so the venue could end up being DC or New Jersey anyway.

But Janary 6th will be a totally separate deal.
