Peter the Great was the one Tsar who brought Russia into the modern world in the 18th century, revolutionized its education system, encouraged the Arts, developed its Military, encouraged infrastructure growth and more. Catherine encouraged expansion of its borders. Those that followed, SUPPRESSED the people.

What has happened in Russia since the fall of the House of Romanov in 1918? More SUPPRESSION of the people as it raced to create an even bigger EMPIRE after WWII. The rest they say, is history.

Russia has never been consistent or stable.

Russia has been caught completely off guard and defenseless.
