NY-03: Santos: 'McCarthy's comments do not change my intention of running'

Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) said on Monday that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) comments saying he shouldn’t run for reelection wouldn’t deter him from seeking a second bid.

“Dear Media, I plan on continuing to serve the people of NY3. Providing excellent constituent services to the people of NY03 and proposing common sense conservative legislation for the betterment of our nation. Speaker McCarthy’s comments do not change my intention of running,” Santos said in a tweet.

McCarthy was asked during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” whether he was part of Santos’s reelection campaign.
“No, I am not. No he shouldn’t run for reelection,” he said.

“We’re going to keep that seat with another Republican, yes we are,” he added later.

lose that seat. The voters are not going with Santos and his lies and fraud again, or the party that wouldn't expel his lying ass.

3. Tom Suozzi, a Democrat, held the seat before Santos

Suozzi would have been re-elected but he decided to challenge the governor for the Democratic nomination. He had to give up his seat to run for a different office.

NY-03 is not going to elect another Republican to that seat next year. Santos will be a one-term weirdo.

I’d wager a Democrat takes the seat in ‘24.

I'd like to think it's unlikely, but Americans aren't exactly impressing me with their political acumen these last 40 years. The voters of the NY 3rd already proved themselves to be gullible fools in 22.

Some equally-loathsome Repuke will probably squeak by Santos in the primary, and Suozzi will squeak by them in the general.

7. Look up the history of that district. The former Dem rep gave up the seat to run...

for governor. It will not go again to a liar and fraud or to someone in the party that refuesd to expel the perp of the lies and fraud after the crimes were exposed.

It will revert back to the Democratic Party.
