I detest Chris Christie but he is the perfect pick

to take on a criminal coward and con man with a big mouth.

https://news.yahoo.com/chris-christie-calls-trump-cheap-043534859.html

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) laid out a unified theory of former President Donald Trump, his former ally and current 2024 Republican presidential rival, on CNN Wednesday night. Trump, he told host Kaitlan Collins, is dishonest, obsessive about his boxes, a childish showoff, a longtime grifter, and "the cheapest person I've ever met in my life." And those characteristics explain why Trump is facing 37 federal felony counts and using campaign contributions to pay his personal legal fees, Christie argued.

It never occurred to Chump that Christie might run against him some day. Chris Christie seems to be the perfect antidote to Donald Chump... at least, for now he is. I don't believe EITHER of these guys could beat Joe Biden though.

It was 2016 when Christie got passed over for AG.

But in 2020 he was in there helping Chump get prepped for his first debate with Biden. In fact, Chris caught Covid from Chump when they were behind closed doors prepping AND he almost died from it. It was barely mentioned in the news after the debate, because that's when Chump himself was diagnosed and taken to the hospital. Remember when Chump got the miracle antibody cure and he was out of the hospital in 3 days? He arranged for Christie to get that same miracle cure, but it wasn't until after Chump himself was out of danger. So Christie almost died of Covid in the meantime.

Some friend, huh?

Christie isn't concerned with that. He just wants to raise Cheeto Benito's blood pressure until he strokes out (if there is a God please let that happen on stage!). Calling him a career criminal is going to get nothing more than an incoherent, nasty denial/reply; calling The Great Gilded One cheap, on the other hand…that's gonna get under his skin, bigly.

Christie wasn't a terrible prosecutor, he knows exactly what he's doing and I am so here for it.

I think it’d be nice if Christie would throw a bone out for everyone else BUT rumpus occasionally. Tell the public something worse than, ‘he’s cheap.’ I might see that and think, ‘I’m cheap too! Of course, we’re blessed with nobody like that in the good ol’ US of A.

WRT TFGs actual negatives, criminality, scamming, incompetent leadership, there's already a chorus of people pointing them out. Christie really couldn't say anything anyone who's paying any attention hasn't already heard, regardless of whether they believe it or not. I'd rather he use his platform for the kind of petty, venal, personal digs that will bother a pathological narcissist, rather than just repeating what we've all already been made aware.of ad nauseam.

Here's what's wrong with cheap: tRump's (allegedly) a billionaire. When was the last time you heard of the orange anus helping someone other than himself financially? Contributing to a charitable cause? Establishing an endowment? Funding a 503C? Any act philanthropy whatsoever? Bill Gates has given away over $38 billion (with a "B" ). Warren Buffet has given away $46 billion. There's a big difference between frugal and cheap. Hell, TFG wouldn't even buy dinner. He's one of the most selfish oxygen wasters on Earth. It's a character flaw that disqualifies him from the human race, let alone being president.

Incidentally the cheapest billionaire is Rupert Murdoch.

Thu Jun 29, 2023, 07:45 PM

There's an entire Greek chorus of people reminding us of his criminality, Christie would just be another voice in many if he did that. TFG doesn't really care about that, sure he posts incendiary crap in response but it's clear he's just "harrumphing" rather than being deeply personally wounded. To raise his blood pressure, you need to make personal insults - which Christie, who for all his faults is very good at this game, is doing.

Calling him a traitor means nothing to him. Calling him cheap, a low-class nouveau riche grifter, is different; it's a purely personal dig that goes against his Gilded Baron image. It hits to the core of everything he believes himself to be, and I believe it's by far the best attack surface to get him to, pardon my French, absolutely lose his shit and hopefully stroke out.

In short, call him criminal, traitor, and he just laughs; call him fat, tiny-dicked, and weak and he reacts.

I believe he may be the only Republican candidate who supports trans rights. I'm unsure where Asa Hutchinson stands. The rest of them sure as hell don't.

That's a HUGE thing in this day & age. It drastically goes against his own party & Republican voters. I give him credit on this because he's really sticking his neck out here big time & taking a stand for what he personally believes that goes against the GOP.

He is, of course, running for vice president, in an old republican party tradition. When we think back to Nixon picking Agnew, or Ford picking Dole, or Reagan picking Bush, we find the vice presidential candidate was -- to borrow a phrase -- a nasty man. An attack dog that can publicly say the mean and nasty things about the opposition that the top dog is too presidential to say.
