I mean the damage he has done to our country in 4 years, that we are aware of, is astounding.
He is a Putin puppet, he most likely sold out our nation's top secrets, he most likely is still selling them.
He has damaged our institutions by putting his cronies into positions of power.
He has convinced 30% of Americans to be anti-democracy, to be anti-establishment, to be anti-government.
He has taken control of the Republican party and morphed it into his image.
He brought Naziism, bigotry, misogyny, anti-Semitism, anti -LBTGQ, racism, out of the shadows and into the mainstream.
Our democratic form of government hangs by a thread today because of this evil man.
Donald Trump is #1, the worst president ever, and that's just what we know about him.

(32,321 posts)someone to be laughed at, someone dumber than a box of rocks, but the evil he has accomplished is amazing.
By comparison: Jimmy Carter had to sell off his beloved peanut farm because it could be a conflict. Trump had our military refueling planes and staying at his properties. Trump illegally was allowed to buy the Washington Hotel where presidential visitors felt obliged to stay at. Trump spent a lot of his time at Mar-el-Loco where he got taxpayers to buy new golf carts for his golf course for the Secret Service and then charged them to use them.
The thing that is the most upsetting is that he did all of this, including his criminal activity right out in the open.

(6,991 posts)I can't with these far leftists on twitter like Nina Turner et al.
They bring up how bad of a candidate Hillary was and pretty much gloss over what that fucking racist, nazi tRaitor tRump did in almost destroying our country. You could have had Pres. Obama running for Potus again, but with all of the shenanigans that went on with Russia helping to destroy our democracy in SO many ways--ways that we may never find out about--I'm not so sure he would have won in a landslide like most folks think. Look at what that fucking traitor tried to do to Pres. Biden in trying to STEAL another election, this time the 2020 GE.
As Pres. Jimmy Carter said (God, I love that man like a family member), and it will remain true until the end of TIME:

But Donald John Trump has got a solid lock on the second-worst spot,

(38,045 posts)He inherited it, fanned by an equally incompetent President, Franklin Pierce.
Trump created this division in a deliberately criminal enterprise.
For my money, Trump is the worst ever. It's not clear yet whether he has effectively destroyed the United States.
It has been a fortuitous outcome that every disastrous Presidency has been followed by a great one. Biden is a part of that tradition, but it remains to be seen whether he will pull off what Lincoln did in saving the country. He has a shot and if he pulls it off, he will be in the pantheon in which Lincoln and FDR stand.

(15,628 posts)He capitalized on the national tragedy of 9/11 to launch a predetermined war based on lies in Iraq at a cost of nearly 5,000 American lives, tens of thousands grievously wounded in body & mind, and trillions of dollars.
Rather than quelling the scourge of terrorism he helped recruit a new generation of battle hardened jihadists, pushing an already troubled region into even worse violent upheaval. Upwards of a million people have died, so far.
In the wake of 9/11 Bush took advantage of his high ratings and the anger, fear, grief, and patriotism of the American people to implement the neocon PNAC agenda that existed before he became president. His administration orchestrated a systematic campaign of lies and misinformation to convince the public that the dictator of Iraq was allied with the al Qaeda terrorists and was plotting to attack our country with weapons of mass destruction including "mushroom clouds" from nukes he insisted without evidence they were building.
It was, in my opinion, the most egregious betrayal of public trust by a president in our nation's history.
Donald Trump is far worse in terms of lies and dividing the American people, and his handling of the covid pandemic no doubt increased that death toll. He is by far the most loathesome creature ever to tarnish the White House.
But my hatred for GW Bush and his cohorts still burns. To see those war criminals leading lives of wealth and privilege is an abominal injustice to all the dead and to those who continue to suffer.

(29,634 posts)Bush is responsible for Roberts and Alito. Bush is responsible for Citizens United. Bush is responsible for the evisceration of the VRA.
Bush was willing to use gay marriage as a wedge issue to influence elections. JEB Bush struck more people off the Florida voter rolls in 1999 than the margin of difference in the 2000 election.
Bush mocked and marginalized Al Gore to the point of slander. Why anyone fell for all that is baffling, but they did, and do.
And Bush was the outcome of Reagan. I can't forget any of that.

(26,178 posts)Is how amazed people are once they meet him. Trump is the first president of the post civil war era to obviously not be qualified for the job. What we know from the people that worked for him. Trump is dumb, really really dumb. Trump has no idea how the government works. Trump was easily manipulated by our enemy. Trump often asked for incredibly stupid things, nuke a hurricane. Trump was mostly interested in personal wealth, how does this make me money. Trump has no morals, openly discussed sleeping with his daughter and many other women. Trump spent most of his time in office firing the people he hired. His lifetime appointments had a radical.agenda not popular with anyone but the people personally donating to him. He committed crimes while in office. Stupid ones. He never told the truth. Not even about stupid stuff.
There's really nothing positive to say about the man. From Kelly to Bolton to Barr no one that worked for him thinks Trump should ever have come within a mile of the presidency. What more evidence would anyone need?

Since W's installation, I have obliterated the entire Republican CABAL from my friends, family, customers, acquaintances. Period.....
This new group calling themselves "Republicans" & "Christians" are the essence of pure EVIL, at EVERY level........
ANYONE VOTING for Trump or any of his Political associates and appointees, has openly stated that they HATE anyone kind, caring, intellectual, or empathetic to the human race......I have no use whatsoever for any of them.
A Major part of the blame for Trump and all he has intentionally done, has been with the complicity of the Republicans in the Senate. Without them in 100% lockstep with all of his corruption, his horrific deeds, ETC, Trump wouldn't have made it two weeks into his "Installation" as President........
The entire Republican Party and specifically the Republican Politicians, and Voters, have driven a movement by PUTIN to obliterate our Country, our Economy, Our Democracy, and our Constitution. If we were able to stop them dead in their Tracks, and try to reverse just the damage they have done in the past 6+ years, it would take decades of hard work............And I honestly feel, that we don't yet have a clue of the overall damage/destruction Trump AND the Republican Politicians have done to our beloved America.......

(32,321 posts)being the largest ever and even when someone put Obama's crowd beside his crowd in a photo, people argued for months about an obvious lie.
This reminds me of when I was kid and watched Groucho Marx and when he said, "who are you going to believe, me, or your lying eyes." At the time I thought that was a dumb thing to say, that no one will fall for that, boy was I wrong, Groucho was right.

(7,794 posts)As if it's perfectly reasonable to compare Trump to any other president when the obvious stands out so clearly. Why are current right wing political means and methods trashing the US except, perhaps, to taunt and accuse sentience itself?
Mr. Broken Record here:
One point you didn't mention is how his machinations have brought into the public's consciousness the spectacle of our justice system's helplessness to effectively deter crime in the government, much less actually prosecute it. I mean, other than through the Justice Department (which is so preoccupied with procedure, it can't even define justice) there are no means to stop crimes committed by highly placed elected criminals. Worse, there simply is NO authority to expeditiously respond to this corruption. In the case of need for immediacy there is nothing. There are no emergency responders nor is there an agency tasked with the duty to preserve the nation from clear and present disastrous corruption. No one has the duty to call or authority to enforce a "time out".
We are more prepared for a nuclear holocaust than we are for securing the government's maintenance from crippling mundanity.
