I just read this short article:
Petraeus Affair Widens: Who's Who & What's What? Here's A Guide
http://www.tristatesradio.com/post/petraeus-affair-widens-whos-who-whats-what-heres-guide
and this is what stands out for me...
"officials say Broadwell "saw Ms. Kelley as a rival for her affections with Mr. Petraeus."
"Gen. John Allen. The FBI's investigation that uncovered the emails and revealed the Petraeus-Broadwell affair also led to the discovery of communications between Allen and Kelley. According to a senior U.S. defense official, as The Washington Post writes, the emails are "potentially inappropriate."
"Unnamed FBI Agent...the agency had to address conduct by its own agentwho allegedly sent shirtless photos of himself to a woman [Jill Kelley] involved in the case prior to the investigation."
Broadwell saw Kelley as competition. Allen, an Unnamed FBI agent and Petraeus all were competing for her attention.
To me, while Petraeus might have had an affair with Broadwell, Kelley to me seems like the focus here. And why would she have between 20 and 30K emails between her and Allen?
this Kelley person is hiding something huge.

(2,795 posts)Paula Broadwell's dad alleges she is being unfairly maligned and more of story will be revealed. He may be right that Broadwell had some legitimate concerns over Kelley's actions over concern that Kelley could harm Petraeus and other Generals. Latest info on content of Broadwell emails seems to back up the idea that Broadwell had some genuine concern about Kelley beyond simple jealousy.
