BREAKING NEWS: PAUL RYAN'S home town approves partnership measure!

The Janesville City Council on Nov. 12 approved a measure extending domestic partnership benefits to city and library employees and their partners.

The vote, according to Fair Wisconsin, was 6-1.

Janesville is the hometown of U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, the GOP’s vice presidential candidate on the Nov. 6 ballot.

Katie Belanger of Fair Wisconsin issued a statement shortly after the vote. She said, “This decision marks an important victory for fairness. Janesville’s vision for creating an inclusive and welcoming workplace makes them a leader in our efforts to build a more fair and just state for all Wisconsinites.”

or remove the log out of your own eye or however you want to say it. I'm sure there are things that you do, that I would'nt approve of. It's not my business. As long as you're not hurting any child or adult that isn't into s&m, it's not my business. Your name onehandle fits your outlook. Open your mind and get yourself right. Jesus was a liberal.

He's repressing a lot of demons in that little brain of his.

Anybody who makes such a big deal about his manly P90X workout is probably compensating for something.

this morning! Ryan definitely sets off the gay-dar! Except no self respecting gay man would have that doofy haircut that looks like Leave it to Beaver's best friend. Was it Gilbert? Or Whitey?

Good job, Janesville!

same could be said of well intending Democrats that demonize the other side with homophobic innuendo.

There have been really good studies that indicate that there is some correlation between homophobia and repressed homosexuality.

The studies - show some people are homophobic are gay. SOME - not all, not even a majority, in fact the most recent study showed just over 20%. The vast majority of homophobes are straight.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/opinion/sunday/homophobic-maybe-youre-gay.html?hp

Using this methodology we identified a subgroup of participants who, despite self-identifying as highly straight, indicated some level of same-sex attraction (that is, they associated “me” with gay-related words and pictures faster than they associated “me” with straight-related words and pictures). Over 20 percent of self-described highly straight individuals showed this discrepancy.

How wold they know unless the homophobe checked the survey box that says

( ) OK you got me. I'm actually gay and I have been a homophobe because I have been repressing demons, but now that I have this survey in front of me this will be the day that I come out.

A person who is trying to hide his sexual conflicts will know how to answer those questions. These academics aren't as clever as they imagine themselves to be.

To start with no one suggested anything universal and to suggest otherwise is straw-manning. I agree that we probably shouldn't just assume a homophobe is automatically a closeted homosexual. I also agree that tossing around words or accusations doesn't do much good and could possibly do more harm

However I think closeted, self-hating bigotry could eventually prove to be much worse.

This article sites a few studies I think that use methadologies that do not merely involve questionaires but make use of measures of physical arrousal.

I really don't care. Makes no difference to me. But I have seen so many cases of (almost always Republicans) who are so obsessed with these "family values" things ending up exposed as complete frauds in their own personal lives. When a guy is so concerned that everybody understand how manly he is, I'd say he has some issues. I'm not talking just the P90X, but all the exaggerations about his manly running and his manly mountain climbing. He's man through and through, make no mistake about that.

The irony is that if he were to come out, Democrats would be understanding. It is his own people who would never forgive him.

*right.*

One more piece of evidence that the far right is completely disconnected from reality.
