It is going to be 115+ for the next five days in Phoenix. UPS drivers have NO A/C

in their vans (I just learned this!)

Inside a non-a/c vehicle, even with the windows open, it can get to 130 or more.

This is insanity!!!!!

to delivery folks. I put a sign on front door offering cold drinks since most times by the time I answer the doorbell they are halfway down the driveway. So far none have turned them down.

It’s 92 here, with 68% humidity and I’m standing next to 3 steam tables and across from 4 deep fryers, a grill, and an oven. No A/C.

We exist on electrolyte popsicles. No one has passed out yet this year but it’s only mid July. Yay!

The breeze is glorious. We’ve performed a top secret ritual with the food runners to ensure the power goes out and we can go home.

His wife told us he drinks water with electrolytes to say hydrated and has comes home some nights and goes to bed. He has a/c in his van but it’s weak.

power grid, but extremely dangerous to many if it happened. A recent study focused on Phoenix said in a worst case half the population could end up in the ER (and thousands dead), but...

About 79.6 million people — 24 percent of the population of the contiguous United States — live in the areas expected to have dangerous levels of heat.

Planning is in order.
