(22,590 posts)I don't use Twitter, but I've never gotten rid of my account, because it comes in handy at times like this.

(12,248 posts)Unless folks screen cap, like this OP, Twitter is useless to me, same with FB, or any other media that requires membership. DU is the only social media platform I use. I used to click on Twitter links, but now it asks me for login. So if folks are just linking, I'd appreciate a heads-up in the headline, that way I can just skip it. I used to have more free time, and hopefully will soon, but right now, it's kinda irritating to open an OP, an it's filled with ads or subscriber requests, or the article or message is blocked because you aren't a member.
Lots of times folks post blocked news stories, and then down 20 or so replies, achieved version is posted and we can read. Why not just post the archived link in the OP?
Sorry, it's been a 14hr day, and I'm a little snippy. However,
Everyone here who posts from paid subscription, knows there's an archived option, because it gets posted EVERY TIME. UGH. Is there some sorta rule an OP can't share the archived link along with the paid version?

(17,821 posts)Nancy Pelosi was stepping down as Majority Leader and Hakeem Jeffries was chosen as the new leader. I was afraid he wouldn't be as good as Nancy, but so far, everything I've seen has been very impressive. Hope he's our Speaker someday soon.

(23,953 posts)Can a political party essentially ban a candidate from being affiliated with said party for an election cycle (versus lifetime)?
If a candidate's views are the opposite of a political party, can the national party prevent them from running with that party affiliation?

Guessing approximately 100% of Democrats/Democratic leaners who are drawn to the RFK name are just starting to realize he's another MTG.
