Maga mocking

I'm thinking about maga mocking this morning and wondering when it crosses over into playing into the hands of the maga elite (aka the rapaciously greedy who want a nation of barely surviving wage slaves).

I don't mean holding back on detesting their actions, their displays and the votes that oppose their self-interest. I mean mocking the maga common folk. Sure there are plenty of them that know just where a maga USA is headed and like it just fine because it serves their self-interest, but there are also a lot of people who are being mislead by the rampant propaganda and scapegoating.

I don't like what they do and stand for anymore than anyone else here on DU, but part of the whole maga elite strategy is to have us hating each other while they grab the wheels of power. I don't mean go out and love a maga or approve of what they do, but each side mocking the other plays right into the hands of the top maga power brokers. I mean maybe not mocking their red, white and blue outfits and calling them low-class and uneducated. It just fires them up to hate us more and on and on it goes. I don't actually see a lot of this on DU, but I do see a lot of it overall. This whole culture war bullshit is a set-up to have us fighting each other. They are primed to hate us and we in turn disdain them.

As Beau would say, this is just a thought. I'm interested in your thoughts on the topic as I think about it. Don't attack me for saying for saying this! Okay, I guess you are entitled to do so, but really this is a thought I want to explore and want other thoughts if you have them

I think I worded it poorly. I did mean mocking them as being low-class and uneducated. I see if I can go back and edit it to be more concise. Appreciate you pointing it out.

There are a couple of tfg fans in my neighborhood.

Both are black.

Neither wear red, white, and blue. (At least not all at once.)

5. Worrying about MAGAs will never determine how I think, feel or speak.

They are destroying our country and our planet.

Destroying the greatest democracy in the history of the world.

And driving humans to extinction.

And I am supposed to spare their feelings and shut up?
NOPE.

12. I don't mean sparing the maga elite or their policies or the feelings of followers

I agree that their "feelings" should not be spared in the interest of truth and speaking out. I just mean that each side mocking the other plays into the hands of puppet masters. I also don't mean sparing the maga elite or their policies or even the ridiculous maga displays.

I hate everything maga as much as anyone. In fact, I hate it with a boundless passion. I just mean that mocking the maga foot soldiers, the ones that get interviewed in their red, white and blue outfits and are subtly or not so subtly mocked and disdained.

16. I'm not saying worry about them

I'm not saying worry about them and I'm not saying take "the high road". I'm just saying the personal mockery may not be fruitful or serve our goals.

7. It's hard not to mock people who so easily voted the worst among us into office.

Some of these people are in my family and don’t enjoy it but sometimes explaining the craziness out loud sounds like mocking but really isn’t.
Who would have thunk that a TV personality like tfg could snooker a whole political party?
It really explains how Faux news has corrupted half our population in Merika.

Trump and his minions sold them a load of crap and it has allowed us ALL to be questioning our own personal reasons and motives.

I think Republicans are trained to hate early and often. Giving it back to them isn’t what starts it but sometimes is good for them to have another perspective because they never hear it anywhere else. Aka why we are in this mess. Dems are often too nice to call them on their BS.
I DO call them out in a nice way, and yes, it can be done.

Call them out with truth. Call them out with righteous indignation. I'm purely objecting to the back and forth mockerey.

For me. MAGA are the haters not us. I think we’ve taken and taken their bull crap long enough. They need to be called out. I still keep my mouth shut when their crap is hurled at me. Maybe I will get smart one day and lower the boom on them. These MAGA are in my family. I would prolly come out looking worse than them.

No. Taking the high road doesn't work, we tried it for too long. Magats are pieces of shit one and all, friend or family. IMO.

Even when Trump is in prison. The more evidence you present to those people, the more they will double down on their idiocy and get angry at you. Caring about how they will respond is meaningless.

And they deserve to be mocked. They did considerable damage to our country, and the world. So I say, mock away.
