Did you use your credit card at a casino in New Jersey? NO. What a pain. Credit Card Company on it. New Card. Charges cancelled. Now Im trying to make right the automatic payments. I often get computer usage anxiety. I made that up (I think) but its real for old people. Sometimes Im afraid to touch any button on a financial website thinking Ill end our life as we know it.
What the hell, the Phillies won tonight. Ill drink to that.

(44,563 posts)Is there any other kind? But they really are fun to watch this year. Schwarber started off three games this year with a first pitch homer. And trea turner is a ballerina at short. Pitching is kinda hard on the fans. And they got the best mascot and best uniforms. Told ya Im obnoxious. Enjoy all the games you watch my friend.

(19,656 posts)DBs won last night in Atlanta after getting swept by Toronto. Final was 16 to 13. Cheer harder Phillies tied bottoms of the 6th. The Brewers manager, Craig Counsell was a long time Diamondback way back when. Great utility player.

(125,095 posts)and I think everybody over the age of 55 had it or has it. By coincidence, I had a disputed charge appear on my debit card so I'm going through the process of updating my information.

(9,252 posts)I'vee had it happen a few times. It's annoying as all get out, butit hasn't affected my credit score. I use my bookmarks to keep together all the links I need to update automatic payments. BTW I'm - gee, I was going to say I'm 77, which is true, but in 2 weeks I"ll be 78. We seniors can handle it.

(61,033 posts)Catherine Johnson did the actual calculations by hand of John Glenn's flight trajectory...better than the computer. Amazing.
And we got the book, have yet to read it. Glad such work and achievement finally gets recognized. And thanks for your assist with the space program. I did a 2,200 hundred piece Lego of a space shuttle and the hubble telescope. Proudly displayed in our NASA room.

I had a great time doing it. Took me about three months. 15 minutes here, 30 minutes there. I found it almost therapeutic. You gotta be on your toes keeping up with the parts.

I got each one on a 3x5 card locked in a safe in the basement. They only come out when I need them. I got about 30.

(249,177 posts)The bank guy I spoke with couldn't have been more helpful, deleted the bogus charge (In CA and I'm in New York!) and told me that the most common places cards are compromised are at gas stations. But I told him that I always pay cash for gas (it's a few cents off a gallon at Sunoco) so the only place I could figure it happened was at the car wash, so I've been reluctant to go there since.

(54,531 posts)I can't feel confident with tech and $$$ and do not trust anyone or anything at this point in my life. I have had the same credit card for over 20 years and they call ME when they see large purchases. They never charge me for anything that was bought without my knowledge. It has only happened once, I am happy to say.

(54,531 posts)I have a spare one in my closet but that is for a backup emergency situation (like a lost wallet). I lived in New York City in the late 70s/early 80s and crime was really bad. I only carried what I could afford to lose but my father always advised me to keep a $10, and not the $5 I planned. His theory was that if the muggers don't get a little something they could get pissed off.

(37,256 posts)Finally came up with a list of payments through CC. When one's screwed, I flip everything to the other the same day--and have to change one word in my list: "Billed to __________ card: < then the list >."
Feel the need to have at least two CC just for that. One's cancelled, it can take a few days to learn your new number and payment can bounce.
