Biden's dog Commander has been biting Secret Service agents

President Biden's dog Commander has found himself in the doghouse after a series of incidents where he bit Secret Service officers on duty at the White House.

The German shepherd bit several Secret Service agents a total of 10 times during the four-month period between October 2022 and January 2023, records show. One incident resulted in an agent getting sent to the hospital for treatment.

Tipped to the incidents, the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit to get access to 194 pages of emails and texts where Secret Service agents and officials described aggressive encounters with Commander.

For example, on Oct. 26, Commander charged at an agent while on a walk with first lady Jill Biden.

"The First Lady couldn't regain control of Commander and he continued to circle me. I believe it's only a matter of time before an agent/officer is attacked or bit," an email about a Secret Service official said. The names of most agents and officials were redacted.

We know that the Secret Service needs cleaning out. Maybe Commander is doing the work for us. Dogs know.

a fan of German shepherds. I am a small woman and have been scared of big dogs all my life, when a large chased me back in the 1960’s. Have never gotten over that. Remember screaming and my mom running out of the house screaming at the dog and grabbing me and taking me in the house.

Size, loudness, teeth.

Then I had a shepherd-retriever mutt. Wonderful dog. But I understand the fear of "police dogs", especially from the viewpoint of Black people and Whites with dogs.

My family has had bearded collies for a very long time. Beardies are close to same size as GSDs. We know some breeders/handlers of GSDs and the GSDs, I have met and played with have been well trained and good dogs. At the first firm that I worked at, the managing partner brought his GSDs to the office on weekends. These GSDs were well behaved. We had a couple of recruiting event at this partner’s house and the GSDs were well behaved with the recruits

The issue for me is that I like the fact that President Biden is a dog person. The fact that TFG hates pets tells me a great deal about TFG’s lack of character.

Never had an issue where any were aggressive towards humans other than one that used to try to herd my MIL and infant nephew. She would sneak up behind my MIL and bump her calves if she was ever walking too far behind us. She could also be commanded to round up my toddler nephew if he ever got too far away from us, but never would harm or frighten him. He just enjoyed chasing her when she would run from him and she knew it.

Some herding dogs can be aggressive, particularly around young children while trying to herd them, but generally speaking they are smart enough to be easily trained out of it.

There is usually a good reason. Biden said he was not sure if he trusted some of his detail.

I have had 5 GSDs in my life. They have to have a job to do. They are protectors. More training on the part of the Secret Service and Commander is important. They are wonderful dogs and they are protecting Jill and Joe.

When I was a little girl. Gift to the family when we were stationed in Germany.

Duke was a lovey. Very well trained. He used to snitch on us. But he was also trained to protect us. My dad was a Green Beret and we were very often left alone in Weisbaden. It was his job to protect us . . . and think my brother and me were HIS kids - not my parents.

I'm sure you understand that. Its a German Shepherd thing - along with snitching on his two legged humans.

I wonder if they will think the same when the dog is put down for being aggressive, this also opens up the President to legal action because the dog is biting people it can be claimed they are creating a hostile workplace.

When I heard this yesterday?

Dogs know. My Maltese will be 7 in August. 3 years ago he started an aggressive thing on walks.

He is a sweetheart attention whore - but if you begin to approach me (Nazi Dad was rambling around our town) and he doesn't like the look of you, he will snarl and bare his teeth.

Doesn't do it with my husband, but with me. And its a pause, a raised paw, and then it starts.

Dogs know.
