General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsSo it seems Paula Broadwell is a saint by comparison to Jill Kelley . . . .
The good Ms. Broadwell, known to her closer friends as MajorTrouble (MT) serviced well the 4StarPenis (4SP) but that seems to be the end of it . . . . except maybe for her near criminal FatasticalFlightsOfFancy, her skillful redefinition of the term "embed", and well shown ability to piss off a woman in Tampa who may well be the bigger problem.
Bon vivant, raconteur, event planner, and PersonInSeriousFinancialDooDoo, Jill (No Relation to same-named but more private and guarded porn star person) Kelley seems to have an affinity for high ranking militaria and the wives of same. The wife of 4SP, for example, looks like a fish walking on Main Street in the published pictures of her hobbing and nobbing with Tampa Gliteratti. So why is she there in a dress obviously purchased on a military salary, her elbows arub with the Chanel-draped twins, one the Kelley?
Makes me wonder. Jerry Springer aspects aside, and all.
How about this?
How about the indebted Ms. Kelley is working for others? Others who want to know what it is generals speak about with their wives? How about Ms. Kelley is in the employ of those who wish to know 4SP thinks, and what ThatOther4Star thinks, too, as he heads up the ladder, close behind 4SP?
The Shirtless FBI guy was just comic relief, by the way. And why can't I stop thinking of *this* guy?
Disclaimer: Most of this was written with tongue firmly in cheek. Most . . . . but not all.
Disclaimer 2: If you're not following the more sordid aspects of Tampan Tatas and Brass Gone Wild, you may have trouble following this. Which is probably not that unusual. As badly written as this is, it is crystal clear as compared to the plots and subplots it sort of discusses.

It seems she had a pretty ugly divorce and custody battle. She, a lawyer, sent harassing emails to the ex-husband and his co-workers for months. The judge sounds pretty fed up with her; the court found "that domestic-violence allegations were part of an ever-expanding set of sensational accusations . . . that are so numerous, so extraordinary and [so] distorted that they defy any common-sense view of reality.

I found other more, "reputable" sources but the links are on another computer right now.
Wound a little tight. Strange family all the way around.
In another article for which I don't have the link (other computer), I found...a bit more.
The poor mistreated ex-husband is one Grayson Wolfe, bush appointee to the Export-Import Bank who directed Middle East Initiatives and Iraqi reconstruction efforts.

Sounds like my ex-wife.
Cerridwen
(13,260 posts)only about 5% of divorce/custody cases are contentious and that the other 95% are fairly cut and dried. Yet, I always seem to be tripping over some guy saying "sounds like my ex-wife."
You guys need to get together and tell the ABA they need to re-do their stats.

I will never get married again.

(9,893 posts)stating that twin was a wonderful woman and a great mother. Of course, the court seems to have a different opinion of twin.
I wonder how the twins managed that.

(13,260 posts)Weird, isn't it? This whole thing is very, pardon the double entendre, but this whole thing looks very incestuous.
I expect the book written about this will begin..."It was a dark and stormy night..." and will appear on the Hallmark Channel. Uh, does the Hallmark Channel still exist?

I hope that there's nothing to this but a TV movie on the Hallmark Channel.

(9,893 posts)Somehow, with running the war in Afghanistan or our intel wars with the CIA, I can't figure how they had the time to even think about this.
Unless they had some encouragement.
It is just bizarre.

(67,817 posts)One other tidbit about her. She claims, in her net worth statement, to own some Chanel gowns (alluded to in my OP) and a pantload of jewelry all "in the possession" one Grayson Wolfe/ex hubby.
As if she'll ever get her hands on that stuff again.
This crew are bigger grifters than the CaribouBarbie Clan.

(33,956 posts)at least one of them by all accounts is batshit crazy...one is a military groupie (and how did she get this kind of access and who sponsored her to come to MacDill?)
Both of them grifters--and definitely not the caliber of person you would expect to be affiliated with anyone of that type of power and influence without some type of quid pro quo.

Sounds like someone is going to talk and make a deal. Whoever that is probably should be very careful with this cast of characters.

Her presence was often a bit puzzling to Petraeuss staff, the officer said, but added that there was never any indication that her relationship with the general was anything more than social.
