It's not intellectual, it's emotional.
It's the only explanation that makes sense to me.

They're not. They're abnormal, and abnormal people do abnormal things. So that answers why they do what they do.
As for the why of who they are, well, I leave that to the professionals (therapists) who have volunteered for that job. I don't have the patience for it. Or the interest. It's enough to know they're out there, and act accordingly by avoiding them at all costs.
I'm lucky enough to have the kind of lifestyle that lets me do that, almost always.

If it wasn't wiped, then what happened? Did the Federal Prosecutor subpoena the server before it could be destroyed or was TFG unable to figure out how to do it?
