I was a worker bee in a radar control center, while in the military (over fifty years ago). We cleaned the place, took out the trash, etc:. We were issued, a low level Secret clearance. We were told more than once, if we mentioned anything to anyone, about where we worked. We would go to jail, for Treason. I guess that same standard, doesn't apply to orange, fake presidents.

(46,068 posts)If what you were told was true, there would have been dozens of prosecutions for treason over the years. There haven't been.

We both knew what we were getting into and our word was/is good. We keep the faith.

Slam the damn door on tRUMP, end his sickening contempt of the law, of Law Enforcement, of cities across the Country whom he's ripped off, and mostly, to shut his damn mouth, I'm sick and tired of hearing his whining voice.

I get the point of your post though.
They put the fear of God in you.
I worked as a civilian for a military contractor for many years. Secret clearance. We had a standard cover story to use whenever anyone asked us about our jobs.

(24,166 posts)That's why we don't need a police state.
People complaining about a "deep state" or police state usually have something to hide.
In the service and in aerospace, we all respected and followed the rules. Rules and procedures made that self-policing, and it was a personal moral judgment to honor them.
What should be obvious is that people with access to many documents sometimes traded off honor for money or , and that was the case with Walker and Texeira, who had access and no need to know. They only knew the "market value" whether that was the black market or the "brag" market.
I *never* trade morals for money.
If you can spot someone who does (and most of us here can) RUN ( or call the FBI .... it always leads to crime)
In a world of unjust laws (more every day, it seems, and we have had a ton of them throughout history!) and people whose "morals" consist of abusing others, then you need a police state to stay on top of everyone, but in the world of projection, the magats are just projecting what needs to be done to themselves, since they have no moral compass.
