CNN: The chance of Trump winning another term is very real

This is a country that elected George W Bush and Donald Trump once. We should never be in shock when America votes against its best interests.

It could happen, even if he gets indirect three more times. It could happen, if even if he sits in jail during Election Day.

I will do my part and vote for Joe Biden because I don't want to tell my kids and grandkids that I was complicit in the destruction of America.
Here is a new piece by forecaster Harry Enten in CNN

What should arguably be more amazing is that despite most Americans agreeing that Trump’s two indictments thus far were warranted, he remains competitive in a potential rematch with President Joe Biden. A poll out last week from Marquette University Law School had Biden and Trump tied percentage-wise (with a statistically insignificant few more respondents choosing Trump).

The Marquette poll is one of a number of surveys showing Trump either tied or ahead of Biden. The ABC News/Washington Post poll has published three surveys of the matchup between the two, and Trump has come out ahead – albeit within the margin of error – every time. Other pollsters have shown Biden only narrowly ahead.

To put that in perspective, Trump never led in a single national poll that met CNN’s standards for publication for the entirety of the 2020 campaign. Biden was up by high single digits in the late summer of 2019. Biden is up by maybe a point in the average of all 2024 polls today.”

thank God President Biden got 81 million the most of any president in the history of America. 74 million idiots are still out there. Yes some passed away but still that’s an ugly number. Every one of those 81 million have to vote again for president Biden.

Not so much here, I have read and talked to people in other places that Trump can't beat Biden. But that is only the popular vote and not the EC. I was referring to people in general.

It is astonishing to me how many Americans still would vote for Trump after all he did.

It’s the great unmentionable in American political media…one side cheats like there’s no tomorrow for them…and there really wouldn’t be a tomorrow if not for the cheating. MTG…dick pix…Santos…serial liar…past President…indicted traitor, twice impeached for cause…tell me that’s not signs of ducked up and broken?

And of course the other unmentionables….only ever two horse race, one horse lame can’t happen!…mass media sucking in the cash so regularly makes mass media in mass conflict…hate speech is legal…etc.

Democracy isn’t maybe completely broken, but it obviously didn’t come with enough rust protection and the warranty is expired!! Get it to the shop, stat!

Right?

Number of self-identified Dems v Repubs is about the number you cite.

But that doesn't contemplate the equal, or slightly higher, number who identify as Independent.

As for election interference, I suppose that depends how you define it. Is it, say, gerrymandering in direct opposition to a Supreme Court ruling?

Is it voter suppression via purging voter rolls based on shaky name matches?

Or is is some very specific thing you have in mind that doesn't happen?

There will always be ruthless sociopaths who try to grab power and fame.
But it was always up We The People to stop them.

Now half of Americans love criminals as leaders.
Just like China, Russia, North Korea.

No board or company would think of hiring him - even a manager's job at a Burger King would be out of the question with his criminal indictments.

And yet, even with all that is demonstrably wrong with him (behaviorally and emotionally), he still qualifies to become arguably the most powerful man in the World.

Anything can happen.

But this article is poorly researched and just plain old bad. The link they provide to polls showing Trump tied or ahead is a link to polling from January, 2023. The major polling in the last month is all for Biden. You see Biden ahead in polls like Youguv, Ipsos, Morning Consult, and Quinnipiac. The polls we know and recognize. You have to look for new and totally unknown polls like Premise and Ohio Northern University (never heard of this school) to find Trump tied or ahead.

Biden is up by several points right now and Trum p's legal problems are only going to grow while Biden's economy is taking off. It is possible that Trump wins, but I think it's much more possible Biden wins in a 10 point plus blowout than Trump wins the electoral college.

No matter who wins the Republican nomination, it will be very a close race. That's just the nature of American politics today. I don't think we'll ever see a real landslide again.

Considering what he's accomplished so far, Biden should be up 70-30 over Trump, but he's not. Trump's legal problems will probably sway enough independents to Biden, but I worry that a lot of voters will sit this one out.

Biden and Hilary not only have to get more votes they did, they have to overcome the massive media blitz of an idiot, who, idiots and racists and cultists love.

Our media has done nothing but enable TFG and it's disgusting and we will look back in history and remember that this time the media went full fascist.....
