in my mind that Hunter Biden used his connection to Joe Biden to impress people, possibly even to getting them to hire Hunter or his company.

There is no doubt in my mind that Joe Biden did not, ever, even once, hint about quid pro quo or otherwise imply that his son could use him to influence legislation or administration policy.

Hunter was "name dropping". Did he make money doing that? quite possibly.

However, if you want to look to public corruption, let's start with Jared and Ivanka and the deals that were made when they were not only related to the president, but also paid members of the US Government... deals with China and Saudi Arabia. Deals that maybe leaked classified information to assist MBS to become the heir to the King of Saudi Arabia. Things worth $2 Billion.
