Agreed. The kid got more scared by the interaction between the 2 dogs. elocs Aug 2023 #7

exhibiting aggression so much as wanting to play. His tale is up and wagging as he is chased off. Our dog runs up to people and other dogs sort of like this and is wanting to play. He will lick people to death if not called off but it can be hard for people to know he is not aggressive when he's running toward them. He's a rat terrier and it's been very hard to train him because he is so feisty and playful. Still working with him every day and always walk him on a leash.

Also, mom picked up the child but was in no hurry the kid from the scene. Everybody there knew once another and the owner of the black dog seemed more concerned about it going after the yellow one and the kid just happened to be near it.

And WTF is up with all these people letting their dogs run around unleashed? I counted three dogs by the end of video. My dogs are super-friendly to other dogs when off-leash but on-leash they're really aggressive when other dogs approach them. Not a problem if the other dog is on a leash, us owners just tug them from each other. But the people who let their dogs off-leash because their baby wouldn't hurt a fly, they endanger ME because their precious pup wants to smell my dog's butt and my dog is terrified they're going to attack him so he attacks first. Keep your dogs safe, leashed or fenced in. It's not fucking rocket science.

I live in a pretty densely populated city, it really is nuts people think they can let their dogs out unleashed.

I'll go with what I see the humans doing: Mom gathers up her kid, lab owner comes running. I think that black dog No. 1 just got away from the owner. Who knows where black dog No. 2 came from.

And this video has been around for a while. It's a black lab running over to say hello and the German Shephard says, "not on my watch buddy."

That did not look like any sort of attack about to happen.

You can see the GSD turn and check on their charge after repelling the attack.
