handed it over. He then HAD to deal with it and appointed Jack Smith to ratchet up the lost time and take the politics out of it.

read the indictment? The detailed times, days, quoted witnesses don't magically happen. Pages and pages. A lot of time and hard work went into what is one of, if not the biggest political scandal in US history.

There was no delay, and there was no foot dragging.

Is a phrase that keeps coming to my head.

I tend to agree with Lawrence O'Donnell who this evening suggested that the J6 Congressional hearings were essential in the process of holding Trump accountable. The hearings exposed us to (most of) what the fuck happened re J6. They laid the groundwork for the DoJ.
