When will the Judge set the trial date for Trump?

I think he is supposed to appear to be arraigned this Thursday. Will she announce a trial date at that time? Will it be about a year from now?

It would be a tragedy if he did not go to trial until after the election... or never.

Do they have to wait for an open date on the docket?

It seems to me that the ball is now in the Republicans court.

You may be right. kentuck Aug 2023 #3
Correct. Why do you think this trial won't happen before the election, which is 15 months away? emulatorloo Aug 2023 #8

something about having to set a date within 67 days (?) for a speedy trial? I think that was why the first date for the Mar-a-Lago trial was set for August but then got changed due to issues with classified documents and lawyers.

That’s more than a year away.

Did you read something on twitter (aka X) or hear something in a youtube video?

Thanks in advance.

Know why the 6 unindicted co-conspirators are unindicted? Now.

Know why Smith didn't charge Trump with seditious conspiracy or with inciting a riot?

The 6 unindicted co-conspirators would have 6 lawyers in the courtroom, bottom line, would delay the trial. They will be indicted later.

Proving seditious conspiracy and inciting a riot gets very involved in 1st Amendment rights, bottom line, it would take too long.

Smith wants a trial before the election and will do everything he can to see that happen. Not a complicated trial with one defendant and a great judge. Smith is ready to go to trial now, he is prepared to give Trump's lawyers all of his discovery.

Oh, did I mention, this judge has been giving out stiff sentences to J6 seditionists.

be charged in Fulton County. The case that was filed today was for a wide-spread conspiracy, with various players active in a coordinated effort. It is possible that not all will face charges in Feorgia. But there could be a few state politicians, etc, who are charged along with the defendent and his war team.

Some may decide to proffer and witness for the state against the orange slime in exchange for a lesser sentence. They're not going to slide, but trumparoni will be tried alone so other defendants can't slow down his trial.

This case against the defendent will most likely be heard before the stolen documents case, as it does not involve classified materials.
