(924 posts)Many years ago, I knew a little about the defense and national security-related industry.
We are much more sophisticated than welfare queens or those in 47% that receive Fed benefits, handouts.
We are more educated. We write better. A lot better. Our proposals read great and are filled with hot ideas "du jour" with convincing arguments, details.
We don't ask for nickel and dime. We go for millions, 100 millions, and billions worth of contract.
We have sophisticated network of connection. We don't go to a government office and sit, fill out form, take a number and wait.
We have people making phone calls, people talking with members of Congress, Senate. We have nice meeting and presentations. We have lavish party, junkets.
Nobody ever looks down on us. There are complaints occasionally from the left, but we look down on them. The RW loves us.
Lesson: if you try to get Government dole from tax payers' money, it's better to do it our style. We get a lot of tax payer money while having fun doing it. And have fun also after get it.

(7,583 posts)Try again tomorrow with a sexier title that might catch attention. Something along the lines of "How the Twins Infiltrated the Neocon World." Not that exact wording, but the heading now doesn't lead the reader to the shattering nature of the revelation. After all, this is a huge deal.
