Kyle Cheney @kyledcheney 30mDonald Trump swore in court yesterday he would not attempt to influence or intimidate witnesses, retaliate against anyone, or in any other way attempt to obstruct the administration of justice.
Are you prepared to comply? the magistrate judge asked.
Yes, Trump replied.

Free speech is one thing, but this is over the line. As a prosecutor, I'd be sorely tempted to make a motion to revoke Trump's pre-trial bond & put him in custody. Let him explain it to the judge.

(9,531 posts)Laws dont have to be broken for a judge to determine their order was violated. Trump is clearly threatening retaliation in violation of the order. He was threatening both the prosecutors and potential witnesses.

The people saying "America won't be fooled by Russia again" are whistling past the graveyard.
He is the frontrunner for the GOP Presidential nomination.
Trump was a masterstroke by Putin, and remains the biggest threat to life as we have known it in the US ever posed from within our borders.
His remark about coming after those who try to stop him, and still walking around free serve the purpose of demonstrating that the judicial system is not going to stop him.
I am starting to believe it will take a plan and masterstroke of equal magnitude and audacity to put Trump and enablers down to where they can no longer operate.
What that would look like, I don't know, but I sure hope it's in the works.

We can see how he reacted to the judge calling him "Mr. Trump."
He erupted several hours later with raging threats against her and the prosecution team.

Which we all know is complete BS, but I suspect that's what he's doing here. It's just more of his trying this in the court of public opinion of his supporters.

2) Donald Trump did not uphold his Oath of Office, and incited am insurrection against the very government / constitution he swore to protect and defend.
3) Donald Trump did to his Oath of Office exactly what he did to his marriage vows to Melania Trump - he broke them.
4) Without a legal leg to stand on, Donald Trump is in survival mode, and will do whatever he thinks will best ascertain his chances for survival.
5) So - knowing Donald Trump after putting up with him for what seems like an eternity now, can we really be surprised?
And finally - why the HECK don't we lock him up already? The judge has the right and the authority to do that, doesn't he???
