There are too many republicans that already feel the way he feels about Trump and trumpism. They're going to come out of the woodwork as the trump trials continue.

And craving for attention fed. The typical serious business of too many of these jerks.

But, yes. Done fairly competently, these days running can pay for itself, including lots of ego-boosting living, and leave funds over for investing in influence.

Being obese myself it's not a problem since I'm one of the most sarcastic posters here and can fling it right back.

But others might not feel that way.

Short story - when Christie was running for re-election in 2013, he was angered that the DEMOCRATIC mayor of Fort Lee refused to endorse him. To punish her, he closed a Fort Lee entrance ramp to the George Washington bridge going to Manhattan. This led to incredible traffic jams throughout the city ... on the first day of public schools.

I agree that fat jokes are inappropriate and there is precedence that making them can hurt the one using them. Being from NJ, I know there are people who think he won because of an ad about an abuse of power by Christie, when as a federal prosecutor, he used his position after going the wrong way on a one way road and getting involved in an accident. Rather than JUST making the facts the issue, the commercial had a photo of Christie getting out of a car where the angle made him look heavier than he was. That ad backfired on Corzine.

However, the inference could be taken in either direction.

I actually like Christie (somewhat) because he's not an INSANE NAZI like the rest of them.
