DeSantis Only Caught a ‘Little Bit’ Of Trump’s Arraignment Because ‘We Had an Execution Yesterday’

DeSantis was also pressed on whether or not he followed the extensive, wall-to-wall, news coverage Thursday of Trump’s D.C. surrender, where he was officially charged with four counts related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

“I saw a little bit,” replied the Florida governor. “Unfortunately, one of the things as governor that you have to do is oversee executions. So we had an execution yesterday, so I was tied up with that for most of the day.”

Whiny is just a spoiled narcissist with no ideology. He used to be s Democrat, used to be pro-choice and in the first Republican debate in 2016 mentioned health care "like Canada."

DeS is vicious.

As much as I hate DeSantis, at least it is what I expect from the Republican Party.

I hate it more when Democrats do crap like this:

Earlier that day, January 24, 1992, then-Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton had left the presidential campaign trail to be home for Rector's execution. State law did not require the governor's presence, but politics did: Clinton wanted to raise his national profile and reverse the Democratic Party's soft-on-crime image.

The Republicans goad Democrats about not being tough on crime - and too many Democratic governors respond as Clinton did.

(And there are people on DU who support executions.)
