Trump. Worth 2.5 billion dollars. Asking you to contribute to pay his legal feels. Why?

If I could just make that just a little more succinct, just a little less wordy, that would be a bumper sticker.

And if I were a MAGA with at least a half a brain cell left, stuck in traffic behind that bumper sticker, having to look at it for 20 minutes, I might, MIGHT eventually think "Hmmmm".

Maybe.

Probably not though.

I mean, why else is she still the #3 Mrs. Trump? She is waiting her time until her pre-nup has expired. It won't be long until Barron turns 18 and he is legally an adult.

in 1974. If he had just put that 40 million into an S&P 500 Index Fund he would be worth close to 4 Billion today.

Use a compound interest calculator with 40 million at 10% for 48 years (which is slightly below what the S&P as averaged).

Snip: The average yearly return of the S&P 500 is 10.749% over the last 50 years, as of the end of June 2023

Here you go: http://www.moneychimp.com/calculator/compound_interest_calculator.htm

He would be worth close to 4 Billion today: $3,880,689,351.39

So because he sucks at business, he is worth 1.4 billion less than he should be.

Which is why most Americans don't do it. Americans buy individual stocks, they invest in start-up businesses which fail, they try their own business, they invest in rentals, they they buy crypto coins, they buy gold, they do a million things but invest in a stock index fund. So do most Americans suck at business? Probably.

But as we know, he ran a lot of things into the ground mostly because of incompetence. You got me interested in looking up all his failed businesses:

Trump’s failed businesses:

1. Trump Steaks
2. GoTrump
3. Trump Airlines
4. Trump Vodka
5. Trump Mortgage
6. Trump: The Game
7. Trump Magazine
8. Trump University
9. Trump Ice
10. The New Jersey Generals
11. Tour de Trump
12. Trump Network
13. Trumped!

Trump companies that sought bankruptcy protection:
1. Trump Taj Mahal
2. Trump’s Castle
3. Trump Plaza Casinos
4. Trump Plaza Hotel
5. Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts
6. Trump Entertainment Resorts

I think his net worth is a negative number. He does have cash flow that he can siphon to support his lifestyle, but that's not an asset.

and liquid cash on hand are 2 entirely different things.
For instance, if you car is "worth" 50 grand, but first you have to sell it. And even then, you probably will never get what it's "worth".
Thats just one point. Much of it may also be tied up in debt obligation, etc.
I seriously doubt Trump has 2.5 billion in his checking account. Probably closer to 1% of that in reality. But who knows. Everyone on the planet is either prosecuting or suing him, so I'd bet the cash is running low at this point.

They could catch Trump in the process of violently sodomizing their own children, and they would still mortgage their homes and bankrupt themselves to help fund his legal defense.

They are beyond the power or reach of any outside agency to redeem them. Until they voluntarily abandon him, they are lost and deserve no sympathy whatsoever.
