Barbie has been in theaters 16 days. This makes it the 7th-fastest movie to gross $1 billion, putting it between Avatar: The Way of Water which did it in 14 days and Furious 7 which did it in 17.

5. I told someone in Florida (a friend) that Barbie is a massive hit at almost a billion.

They said sound of freedom made more. I laughed. I couldn’t help it. He said no you don’t understand the movie was made for 14.5 million. Barbie was made for 145 million and 600 million on advertising. I said it still made more even with those numbers. He said not true. I gave up. Yes I definitely know Barbie didn’t spend 600 million on advertising. I didn’t know how much so I couldn’t debate that.

She timed every scene perfectly. Also the themes addressed in the movie are not cute at all.

Haven't seeing yet, but I intend to. I saw Oppenheimer yesterday thinking I waited long enough to avoid the crowds. I was wrong, the theater was packed. Oh, and the movie was great. Hoping the theaters will be less packed for Barbie by next weekend.
