The battle is between justice and the arena of public opinion.

Trump's strategy is to defeat the evidence and the facts, that might come out in a jury trial, by persuading enough people through propaganda and public opinion, to make it very difficult to get a conviction from a jury.

He will flood the airwaves with disinformation and misinformation that will make it very difficult to bring together a fair and unbiased jury. His goal is to pollute the jury pool, with the assistance of the media, in my opinion.

Which will influence the people the most? The facts and evidence presented by the prosecution or the alternative confusion surely to come from the Trump side?

For example, they want the people to believe that it is not about crimes that were committed, it is about free speech, especially free political speech. Their aim is to cover the walls with spaghetti and confuse the masses.

Their defense campaign has already begun.

but I don't think it will work, especially in DC. He might have already accepted that he'll be convicted, and he's setting up his grounds for appeal.

I have set myself to be content with the exposure of the facts from a jury trial, whether or not he ever spends a day in jail. I do not expect to ever see true justice.

Yes I doubt we will see justice, the kind we would face if we had committed all these crimes.

The damage Trump has done to the US is incalculable, there is really no earthly punishment for all of it.

But as you say, perhaps the truth coming out is something to be thankful for.

When his lawyers fulfill his expectation of getting him off he wants to pick up his MAGAT base and add more republican voters to it.

So, his public strategy is actually a political strategy to position his campaign before, during and after the trial

Tampering with the entire process.

Threatening, gaslighting, propaganda and lies.
Stirring up violence.
And turning the trial into a three ring circus.

The judge has her work cut out for her.

"Yes, please. Get another Judge."

Who would want to be badgered by that asshole for the next year?

She must wonder if she should have become an accountant.

It is worse than badgering, she will be getting death threats,
her whole family will. The judge is very brave.

But yes maybe she wishes she could take up Trump's demand for a new judge.

Or will DoJ assign the actual prosecution of the case to other Doj attorneys?

Thank you for any insight.
