10. What we are seeing these days are textbook examples of reactions to narcissistic injury.

Each expression is more extreme and intense than the last. When you are hurt you scream, right? What a narcissist values more than anything else are his belief in his superiority and his entitlement to praise and special treatment, and when those things are threatened the narcissist feels a great deal of pain. And he decompensates, because at some point he can no longer pretend he isn't being hurt. TFG's fake Xeets are his screams of pain as he decompensates, like he was being gored or flayed.

I believe we should try to feel compassion for all sentient beings, and that I should at least feel sorry for someone who's so clearly miserable, but dammit, I'm not Buddha or Jesus and I just can't fucking do it. He's turning out to be one of the most destructive human beings since the death of Hitler and I'm not a good enough person to feel much except disgust and loathing.

I have several people with personality disorders in my family and extended family. I love some of them very much. It takes a lot of emotional energy to sustain having a relationship with them. Trump? I'm out of empathy. My empathy for personality disordered people is dedicated for the people I love.

screaming monster with a mouth big as his head. He had enough rage to destroy the universe if he could. The parents knew what was happening, and they were as cool and efficient as they could be with the poor little guy. The people nearby knew what was happening, and smiled in sympathy, as if they'd been there. The parents put him down, and he tried to run right back to the museum.

Our "Favorite President" is demonstrating this level of emotional collapse.
