How crazy is he going to get? Predictions?
Interesting video on Narcissistic Collapse

Torture for his legal team no matter the brave face they try to put on.

(130,536 posts)Each expression is more extreme and intense than the last. When you are hurt you scream, right? What a narcissist values more than anything else are his belief in his superiority and his entitlement to praise and special treatment, and when those things are threatened the narcissist feels a great deal of pain. And he decompensates, because at some point he can no longer pretend he isn't being hurt. TFG's fake Xeets are his screams of pain as he decompensates, like he was being gored or flayed.
I believe we should try to feel compassion for all sentient beings, and that I should at least feel sorry for someone who's so clearly miserable, but dammit, I'm not Buddha or Jesus and I just can't fucking do it. He's turning out to be one of the most destructive human beings since the death of Hitler and I'm not a good enough person to feel much except disgust and loathing.

(31,155 posts)Attempting to feel compassion is noble but as you say, he needs to be stopped. He poses a clear and present danger to the entire world.

(4,741 posts)You're smart not to give him that compassion. He's not a garden variety narcissist who might sorta respond to that (the ordinary NPDs love the attention); he's a malignant narcissist who is entirely incapable of relating to other human beings in a normal way. They don't have one bloody clue what empathy is, either giving or receiving, but especially not giving any of the stuff. Because they don't have one shred of it within them, and never will.
From hard experience, I know that showing empathy to a malignant narcissist is a very dangerous thing to do. When they're in a collapse from an injury, they see empathy as piling on, which only makes them angrier, snd they react accordingly. Which is not in a pleasant way. I still have hairline fractures in my teeth from showing a malignant narcissist empathy. That's why I know the best recourse when they go off the reservation is either to get away and stay away until they cool off. Or for good, if you have the means to do so.
Or call the cops on them to get them locked up.
They are that dangerous when they go into narcissistic collapse.
I could write a book on these people after dealing with so many of them.

(14,765 posts)I know his lawyers are required but I didn't fully comprehend if he was required to appear himself before the Judge.... I want him to have face to face time with the Judge...

(4,741 posts)We all know that the entire world would know if the judge deemed his presence necessary. He'd be screaming his idiot head off about it.
Besides, this is a motion about a protective order regarding other matters, and motions are procedural issues that hardly ever require the defendant's presence. They usually involve only the lawyers and the judge, probably in chambers.

(14,275 posts)to him more specific and detailed. She is not going to want to give him any grounds for an appeal which would be a delay and just what he wants. This Judge is not going to die on this hill.

(850 posts)his lawyers will agree to the terms on his behalf, and he'll immediately violate them again. They're trying to deprive him of the only thing he's got going for himself, his grievances. He can go on and on all he wants about how he feels its unfair, but once he starts talking about the witnesses, he's all done. He always speaks off the cuff, so there's no stopping him from doing it.

(4,741 posts)Furthermore, I think the Dotard is already showing signs of narcissistic collapse. He's doing all the things every narcissist I've ever known would do before they went into a towering, dangerous rage. And I've known plenty of them, up close. As in immediate family.
With a garden-variety narcissist, empathy might be tolerated (they don't see it as help, really), but it's the worst thing you can offer to a malignant narcissist.
A malignant narcissist is exceedingly dangerous when they have suffered a narcissistic injury. They will want revenge, and even your empathy can be seen as piling on to the injury--which *WILL* have them turn you into a punching bag--either literally or figuratively. Actually, no matter what you do, you become a target for their hate and rage when they spiral out of control. So does anyone else in the vicinity.
Always.
That's why your best bet is to maintain as much distance as you can from that type without having to leave the planet, until they cool off.

(17,506 posts)the judge will likely be specific as to what Trump can and cannot do and emphasize the consequences of non-compliance. She might point out that the gov't protective order requested here is exactly the same as the one he and his lawyers agreed to in the FL classified documents case.
