How come the head of the CIA did not use encrypted emails with his mistress?

Broadwell and Petreaus used the same Gmail account to read messages they left in the draft folder of that account.
Naturally the FBI found the folder, without much problem.

Doesn't that kinda make ya wonder what other "secrets" are being discussed in the open via the CIA?

Or is the CIA doing a better cyber security job than its head honcho?

Strange.

It's non-trivial to get PGP working with gmail, and it requires the other person to know what she is doing too.

Why would he EVER EVER EVER use any method of communication that could EVER be discovered in ANY way...??

IMNSFHO, they BOTH did us a service by relieving us of the burden of having anyone that FUCKING STUPID running one of our most important covert information gathering agencies!!

the classified email service doesn't allow for contact with non-CIA sources. You can't email non-CIA people from a CIA account.

It hasn't been in the past so Petraeus really didn't have a lot of concern imho. No need to encrypt the emails since neither of them felt that it rose to that level of problem.

This scandal isn't about the sex or the affair I believe. Its bigger than that.
