(456 posts)I did it last week.
Luckily, I had the time and transportation to take the one hour round trip to the one and only early voting location in Delaware county.

(39,120 posts)They were very confused about the issue last week. I tried to explain what the GOP wanted to do; I don't think they got it.
If they figure it out, they'll vote yes to stop those awful 'Bortions.

(10,438 posts)Sometimes I need to seek help with our countless propositions purposefully made confusing for voters. There should be a law making propositions less opaque.
Otherwise good luck with your dad.

(39,120 posts)Lost to Fox many years ago. He's not the worst Repuke I'm related to; he doesn't talk about the GQP around me or any of my siblings.

(10,438 posts)I have a mother in a similar situation. All we can do us speak the truth to them when subjects arise. Listening to NPR could be that safe place. I used to tweet my congressman Rohrabacher, who was taken apart by Jon Stewart back in the day fir his ridiculous climate testimony. I sent him articles, one from NPR. His response was I shouldn't listen to NPR, but watch FNC instead.
Sadly those tweets are lost. But in real time I was sickened by his brazen effort to spread misinformation.

(2,249 posts)Seemed like pretty low turnout, which could be good for our reliably red precinct.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
