House Republicans Schedule Biden Impeachment In Fall As Obvious Trump Indictment Counter Programming

This will all blow up in their stupid faces.

Recently, whenever reporters ask House Speaker and overall shell of a man Kevin McCarthy about the MAGA obsession with impeaching President Joe Biden, he’s responded brusquely, “I didn’t say I was doing an impeachment inquiry.” However, he never said he wasn’t doing an impeachment inquiry. Always ask the followup question.

CNN reports that “many House Republicans privately say that it appears to be a foregone conclusion: Biden will face an impeachment inquiry in the fall and could be just the fourth US president ever charged with high crimes or misdemeanors — and that it might all happen by year’s end.”

Biden’s drive-by impeachment should prove a simple matter, considering that Republicans aren’t interested in facts, evidence, or actual justice. This is just another Benghazi, but somehow even less reputable.

CNN’s Manu Raju wrote on Twitter Tuesday, “A reason why many in House GOP believe Biden will face an impeachment inquiry in fall: Not moving forward now will create impression that House Rs have essentially cleared Biden of any wrongdoing over his ties to Hunter’s business entanglements.”

Real evidence, not the stuff on social media and hearsay on hearsay, or conspiracy theories…evidence!

Don’t need any? Then please proceed and your kangaroo court will go side by side with a Real Court for voters to compare.

bullshit agenda by not stating outright that they had no evidence of any crimes or wrong doing by Biden. CNN is helping this bullshit move forward.

You can't really schedule an impeachment. They can schedule an inquiry and hold hearings, but they have no idea in advance when they will actually hold a vote, or if their caucus will hold, and all of their members will vote for impeachment. Several of them are in districts that Biden won handily, and I doubt that all of them will vote lockstep to impeach Joe Biden for offenses he obviously never committed. All it takes is something like 5 of them to not go along, and McCarthy's hold on his caucus is already slip-sliding away. McCarthy knows he looks like even more of a fool than he does now if he loses an impeachment vote, so he won't even bring it to the floor unless he's more than positive it will pass. Either way, any impeachment, should it actually make it as far as a Senate trial, is as doomed to failure as the last three attempts of the last 25 years, and none have been as obviously a grudge action as this one.

What most bothers me is that after all the actions of every successive Republican administration since Nixon (with the possible exception of Ford), that their party is still ruled, to a great extent, by a nasty vindictiveness that transcends all limits of reasonable government.

Republicans have long abandoned Lincoln, and now strive for a government of few people, by few people, and in spite of the people.

like the Hillary and Hunter investigations. Republicans go for the immediate press and energizing the base but neglect the totally negative long-term consequences of promising big and failing utterly.
