i dont care what teh reason is or even if theres a law.
hes dirty. its obvious. either arrest him or declare that every 5-4 decision where he was on teh majority side is invalid.

(32,489 posts)There is evidence that he committed crimes. DOJ may not want to appear to be partisan though because that's what Magats will accuse them of.
The IRS also needs to investigate him.
Clarence Thomas may be the 2nd biggest threat to our democracy next to Trump.

(46,188 posts)And that can be, but usually isn't, the subject of a criminal prosecution (as contrasted with civil case seeking to impose fines).
As for bribery -- pretty difficult to prove and unlikely that DOJ would bother to try absent some smoking gun evidence showing that Thomas would have voted differently in any particular case but for some financial inducement -- something that given Thomas's long-held judicial philosophy, would be hard to establish.

(18,131 posts)what it takes is to stay within the Constitution, you know, the law of the land and nowhere in the Constitution, nor the Bill of Rights, is there anything that allows what you're pushing for.
This is what tyrants, despots and dictators do.
You sure you're in the right place?

Unlike the OP, I tend to favor following the Constitution and the BoR, not arrest first then investigate, or make up a law or arrest even if there is not law to arrest for.
