Pres To McInsane And His Little Buddy, Graham- "Want To Come After Somebody. Come After Me."

"But let me say specifically about Susan Rice, she has done exemplary work. She has represented the United States and our interests in the United Nations with skill and professionalism and toughness and grace. As I’ve said before, she made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her. If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received and to besmirch her reputation is outrageous."

I as I watch the President's news conference, I am reminded of The Bush Years. It is refreshing to see THE PRESIDENT answering questions. As the neocons were rewriting US policy on a daily basis to fit their narrow view, we only heard from spokesmen like Ari. No WMD, Wars, Bush Doctrine, warrantless wiretapping, torture programs, ... didn't matter the issue. They would never allow Bush to have to think on his feet. NEVER.

These guys are still all gung-ho about Bengazi. They won't stop until they find a new story to use to hit Obama over the head. McCain and Graham are sterling examples for the need for Congressional term limits.

Moments after Obama spoke, Graham released a statement doubling down on his objection to Rice:

“Mr. President, don’t think for one minute I don’t hold you ultimately responsible for Benghazi. I think you failed as Commander in Chief before, during, and after the attack.

“We owe it to the American people and the victims of this attack to have full, fair hearings and accountability be assigned where appropriate. Given what I know now, I have no intention of promoting anyone who is up to their eyeballs in the Benghazi debacle.”

They are acting like the election has not taken place and there has been a shift in power. Thankfully, the American people have put their faith in the President. Every time McCain opens his yap, he looks more and more like a sore loser and just full of sour grapes. Tough sh*t, McNasty. No one care what you think. Well, maybe the folks over at Fox might. But the people who matter do not.

Hope the President stands his ground and McCain and Graham end up with egg on their faces. Couldn't happen to two more deserving guys.

But a hearing is going to be necessary to clear the air.

Will McInsane and Graham demagogue the hearing? Of course. Their goal, and the goal of the entire Rethug party, is to destroy Obama, we know that. The Rethug House will probably vote to impeach, even though there's absolutely no grounds for it. This is the way the Rethugs try to hold onto power.

Once there's a hearing and all the facts come out the public will be behind Obama and any Rethug attempt to impeach will backfire.

And I suspect that the reason the administration is not concerned about this "water-gate styled hearing" on Bengazi is because they have real-time recordings (and transcripts) of what the CIA was telling Dr. Rice.
